Food Before and After Photos

Recommended Posts

Went out to lunch and ordered a burger which is unusual for me, however I was told this place had incredible burgers so of course I ordered one. (Picture does not do it justice) It was awesome and I got full really fast. I ate about a third of it. It was a big ass burger.

I’m 17 months out and it’s nice to go out and order “unhealthy ” food on occasion. I’m also glad that I still get full quickly.

Can anyone eat 2 eggs in one sitting. How many months out were you?

I can eat 1 1/2 boiled eggs and I’m almost 6 months post op. Some mornings I can do two but that’s only if I’m super hungry

dinner + more belated bday celebrating at my bfs moms house yesterday.

Ate rice, and carne alentejana (Portuguese pork, potatoes and little necks). They insisted I grab some Brussel sprouts but I didn’t eat them since we know how that went last time. Oh and I also had a rumchata shot and a big bite of the pasteis de nata custard.

Surprisingly I still lost a pound this morning and I ate over 1000 calories last night.

@MarvelGirl25 : sounds like your fam is like ours...we don't do birthDAYS, we do birthWEEKS (and week long anniversaries too, lol)

...also these tarts/pastries made my stomach MOVE just now. #yumYumYumYum

...am already planning on asking Mr. to take us to the bakery after lunch today when he gets back from his run... #futureYUM

IMHO Hand made burgers do not count as unhealthy 🌈 (It's the mystery meat ones that are worrisome)

Lol yesssss that’s exactly what we do to, and everything is worth celebrating 🥳

Theres this Portuguese bakery near his moms house and they do the best desserts! That’s where everything came from. The custards are addicting! Show us what you pick up!

Well, partly.

I use one of these cubes that dissolve in Water (tom yum), soak the sea weed, throw everything together in a bowl and microwave it. Let sit and heat up again. I add a bit of palm sugar and coconut milk. Sometimes a bit of additional salt.

Leftovers from yesterday’s dinner, roasted aji panca (Peruvian pepper) chicken and mashed potatoes. I was able to eat the chicken minus the skin and two bites of the mashed potatoes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
