As long as they are light hearted, self deprecating and only at your own expense... Society will allow it.

Not an ounce of rage.
I was just offering a different perspective.
I’ll consider it ignored and move on.

I’m a New by to this. Had sleeve done coming up on 6mo ago.
Since end of Nov, I seem to have lost my focus. Christmas wasn’t easy.
Help Ladies (& men)! Don’t know why I’ve chosen this? I’ve gained 5.5lbs + inches.
Very nervous. How to get re-focused? Ideas?? Thx for listening.

Can you go see your surgeon or dietician from your surgery and ask for help?

Crystal Light in A LOT of my Water, Diet Coke - takes me a long time to drink it. Red Bull.
My nutrition person at the surgeon’s office said don’t buy the Russel Stover SF candy - I did it anyway and it was good!! Had to hide them in the freezer from myself so I couldn’t eat them all at one time. And popcorn - snuck some into the movies , the 100 calorie bag - totally worth it.
PS I really, really miss red licorice. I want to but better not, might start something that I can’t control : (

Today I ate a mini shredded chicken quesadilla and almost all of the fiesta cheesy potatoes from Taco Bell. I am almost 5 weeks post-op and supposed to be in the puree / soft foods stage and I chewed it up thoroughly before swallowing. I am surprised that I was able to eat that much and now I am worried that maybe my pouch isn't working because from what I seen of others post it seems like that was too much to eat in one sitting. So now I am mad at myself for giving into Taco Bell and terrified that I was able to eat that much.

Don’t beat yourself up... you’re human. That’s probably not the last time you’re going to eat Taco Bell, and that doesn’t mean you are going to fail at this. Nothing is set in stone, you’re still a baby at this. How did you feel afterwards?

Worry not, friend! Potatoes are slider foods and those mini quesadillas are fairly small.

Cheats happen, weakness happens. Just saddle up and get back on track.

First cake - She came back and asked her to take the rest away and pour dish soap

@MIZ60

Many moons ago, I frequently went to a bakery. They made the best cheese danish in the world. I would come home, eat a bunch, then was so mad at myself for eating the danish. l poured dish washing detergent all over the danish, threw it out where i couldn't retrieve it, @MIZ60 great minds think alike☺️

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
