I have a date but no insurance approval yet. I called Monday and they told me that they should be hearing from insurance soon, so they went ahead and reserved 8/3 for me. I’m really hoping things fall into place soon.

I dont have a surgery date yet. It *should* be in August since I finish all my pre surgical apointments 7/16. I would love to be the same day as you!

I'm with ya on that one ! I just finished all of my approvals and I meet with my surgeon next Tuesday (7/26), so fingers crossed! I'm supposed to be given my surgery date next week. SO STOKED!

And if your surgeon is as busy as mine and you don't make August, you can come cuddle with me on the September forums Although I'm buds with the July and August folk ,my surgery date is September 5th, just got it assigned July 17th.??❤

I actually got my approval in 1 day and am scheduled for 8/28. Good luck!

Ouch - I think I might go nuts if mine's so busy and I have to wait so much longer lol. Here's hoping for a quicker date!

Good luck to all of you approaching your surgery in August. I was sleeved on August 8th 2017. If I can offer any help and support please let me know. I have lost 104 pounds so far and feel great, there have been tough times through the year but it all works out. Everyone is different so what works for one person might not work for you but remember there is lots of support and advice on offer. Just don’t sweat the small stuff.

August 13th for my revision from band to sleeve. I can’t wait to get this band OUT!
Plus I have a hiatal hernia that feels like a baby’s foot up in my rib cage... ugh!!
Gallbladder going too. I hope I’m not an outpatient...have a call with Dr. on Friday.
Good luck all you August Surgery Daters!

I have a hiatal hernia too, damn things. Surgery and a fixer upper on the 8th. You certainly won't miss your gallbladder either. Good luck to you as well.

I hear ALOT of bypassers needing to get their gallbladder removed. Is this something more than likely we all will need to get done? Always wondered about that. Guess I will ask my surgeon about that .

Hi Jeaniered, glad to me you. Looks like you're living the good life, gives us hope out here in pre-surg and predietland!

I know I was just prescribed Uridol or something like that for after surgery that I have to take for 6 months that reduces the risk of gallstones to 4%, but I have no idea about having your gallbladder removed altogether. I'll def. ask my surgeon about it too.

I already have my gallbladder out. Needed to be removed a few years ago so I don’t have to worry about that part.
July 31 is my date for RNY!! I’m starting 10 day diet tomorrow :)
