Good Morning. I had my surgery on July 5 th. I am doing great. I suck on a sugarless popsicle right out of bed and then take my pill for nausea and an hour later the pill for heartburn and then just sail through the day. I think all 6 meetings with the Nutritionist was totally worth it. I feel very on top of all this.
How are you getting your protein? My surgery was July 2nd and I’m weak everyday guessing it’s due to not getting enough protein since I can’t eat food yet.

I had mine on 2 July, first week sucks, this second week not so bad
Hi Maria, mine was July 2nd. First week was awful!!!!!!! What are you doing differently in week 2 that’s making it better? I’m feeling weak but guessing it’s because I’m not getting enough protein etc. what are you eating/drinking this week?

I drink core protein chocolate, taste real good, reminds me of McDonald’s chocolate shake without the guilty.
Mine is July 17th super nervous too

Protein20 and clear Premir protein drinks. Some people hate them so beware. $25 for like 12. Different people will tell you they like or hated different flavors. Delivery from amazon or Walmart. For Premir. Only amazon delivery for protein20 they have a variety pack.
This is for clear liquids. If you’re on full liquids you can get protein from shakes.

I’m doing so-so...the protein shakes are nasty. I’m having a hard time getting them in. I need to do better for sure. I have my pre-op physical tomorrow. Last step before the surgery! How’s it going for you?

How did ya'll tolerate the hunger when on liquid diet?? I don't want to cheat but I AM SO HUNGRY.

Started my pre-op today, not that bad but im so hungry and want to eat food!!! I can do this tho waited a whole year or so! Now im 14 days away!!

We're both scheduled for the 25th. You've got this! I only have a 3-day pre-op diet, but it's a rough one: Clear liquids only. It's basically a water fast. It will definitely be worth it in the end, and I don't expect to wake up from surgery hungry! :D

Are you allowed any food at all? Greek yogurt and cheese sticks were my best friends for the two weeks. 3 protein shakes, chicken broth and popsicles helped too.
