What part of Texas are you from. I am having surgery on the 9th

Howdy Cowboy Joe78260, if my handy zip code doesn't fail me you are in Bexar County, somewhere about San Antonio, am I right?
Let me quickly introduce myself. I'm Frustt8 self appointed "welcome wagon" for the Bypassers. After nearly 3 years of seeking ,August 2015-July2018, my long journey towards a RuN should conclude, this month. I live in Central Ohio, FYI the geographical center of Ohio, Centerburg, is in my county. Matter of fact,my,late mama graduated from there in 1935. I live in Mount Vernon, a city of 20,000 48 miles NE of Columbus where,i shall obtain my surgery. Still waiting on an exact date but I can hardly wait. If I had a tail, I wo7is be wagging,it and therein lies a tale. You see, I have always wanted a tail, well at least since age 5 when I announced my intention to grow one.Well that year I asked Santa Claus, didn't get,it for Christmas or my birthday the day afterward. Okay I said, I shall have to grow my own, imagine how disappointed I was when my family doctor said,i didn't even have a tail bud, like the horn buds I had seen,on calves. Pfooey, so I kept my desire, inside. Mind you. I wasn't planning a generic tail, I wanted a big fluffy one like a Persian Cat.Serves me right that,my youngest, wanted to be a duck. He did not want to,be a mallard, he felt that ring around, the neck might bind. he wanted to,be a big white duck! Told his poor grandma who had never gotten over me announcing at Prayer Meeting if everyone, would pray real hard, God would grant,me a tail. Shoot, hadn't Sister Jones said if you pray really hard God would grant you the desires of your❤, swore I heard her say that at Sunday School. Then 20 some years later her darling grandbaby boy, wants to be a duck! Caused her to fan herself real hard , yep sure did!
Anyway, welcome , any questions,that you need,answered, just ask. We,love helping,here.?

Living in San Antonio, originally from NY and still have family in Cleveland OH and Florida

Hi joe78260, I’m from El Paso?

Hi Faith how are you feeling almost a week out

Hi Brownidamy4,
How are you doing? I came home yesterday. I’m resting and focusing on getting my water and shakes and walking in. No need for pain meds today. ??. I never realized how many commercials are good adds!

I am 4 days post op, and having trouble getting in all the liquids I'm supposed to. I am also very fatigued in the evenings. Anybody else having these issues, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Faith73,
So glad you’re doing well and not needing the pain meds. I’m still needing pain meds off and on. But I think that is mainly from where they removed my gallbladder. Today I had a little trouble getting fluids to stay down. I wasn’t nauseous or in any pain. It was strange...it just wouldn’t go all the way down and like made a u turn. Still focusing on walking and rest though. Hopefully fluids will start staying down a little later. Good luck to you! I hope the pain keeps staying away for you!
Do your liquids, keep up with your water and if you have a headache or you body grouches any, other way, know it is for a good cause. And maybe I'll join you soon??

I started the liquid phase on the 5th. The liquid has not been an issue as I normally drink 64oz. The headaches are there but not enough to stop me. I have no body aches.

The hard part is learning to eat 3 ounces of meat and a cup of vegetables and making it last a half hour. I have my first protein shake at 10am, egg beaters at 2PM and a small meal at 7PM. The hunger pains went away yesterday. I hope to keep myself busy today and tomorrow so I can stay full. I am staying around 600 calories a day.
I was having stomach trouble so the doctor allowed me a small meal instead of the second protein shake.

My anxiety is getting stronger so I am starting to get nasty. The walking has been hard as I have leg pain but I am averaging 2500 steps a day.

July 18th, have my hospital pre admission on Tuesday
Getting exciting isn't it G,Matt? So happy and envious for you. Good luck with your journey! Hope to join you soon??
Sleeve on the 10th of July!! I’m ready..
