  1. PCOSSUCKS, That is so scary! I don't understand what caused it, and it's definitely not something you should have had to go through or your family! Wow just wow. Certainly hope for smooth sailing from here on out for you! ❤️❤️
  2. July 3rd, 26 days to go! It still feels unreal.
  3. That's scary!! I hope you are doing well now!!
  4. What Would Be The One Thing You'd Tell Future Bypass Patients To Help Them Through The First Few Months After Surgery?
  5. 2 more days, you have lots of support and well wishers! Hang in there and remember why you're doing this. You got this ??
  6. Harleymama11, Good luck tomorrow!!
  7. Good luck everyone!
  8. Frustr8, Excited for us! I can't wait to be on the Loser's Bench. ????
  9. gr8ful1, I think most surgeons will repair it at the same time instead of doing two separate surgeries. Hopefully yours will!
  10. Hey Poppygirl, I'm a bit overwhelmed also! Trying to stay positive. I'm having Hernia Surgery @ the same time so I have left it @ that - I'm having surgery to repair a bad hernia. I don't really want to share what I'm doing with everyone as I have enough to worry about than what everyone will think. ?
  11. Thanks!!

...how often, and how far/long do I want to aim for right after surgery? (Surgery through the first 3 weeks)
  13. Hey Megan, I've been preparing slowly. I have all of my vitamins, but am still leery about stocking up on too much protein since I've read our taste buds can change after surgery. Don't want to be stuck with something that's disgusting! I haven't purchased a single thing for the pre-op diet because they haven't told me what I will be having. My pre-surgery appointment is the 18th - we have a group appointment when we go over the diet etc., then an appointment with the psychologist, then the surgeon to review everything and ask any questions, and last of all we go over and pre-register @ the hospital. I'm excited and nervous!! I fear the foamies!! I've read some experiences with it and it appears to be dreadful! I am also not looking forward to the Lovenox Injections we have to do. It appears that things can either be super easy or super awful, but after a while it seems to settle for everyone. It's getting closer!! Our lives are about to change! ?? - Melissa
  14. I tried to find the chart too although I am shocked I'm even on it. ?
  15. I believe in God, but I don't impose my personal views on anyone or try to change what they believe. That being said, I have often said "I'll be praying for you" because that's what I would want someone to do for me. However, this is generally said to family or people I am close to (people that I am close enough to know and share life with). If it bothers you couldn't you simply remind them you're an atheist?
  16. Congratulations!! Super excited for you!
  17. The Incentive Spirometer is that something that all patients will use? I haven't heard of this yet. Do I need to purchase it?
  18. Wow! In just 4 months! Amazed! Congratulations!
  19. I gathered from other people: chapstick Gas X Biotene Pajama shorts/pants Pillow Wedge Hope this helps! ?
  20. I'm dramatic and probably would've already gone to the ER. Definitely get it checked out!
  21. Wow! Sounds terrible. I hope someone chimes in and gives you some insight!
  22. Definitely cute! Defintely looking forward to wearing pants that aren't from Catherine's or Lane Bryant!
  23. I'd definitely reach out to the professionals in your program so they can give you some suggestions on what to do. Don't let food win. You're stronger!
  24. Other people that have mentioned this ended up having a stricture. I haven't had surgery yet, but it's good you contacted your doc. Hang in there!
  25. Good luck!! What an exciting time!!! Keep us posted!
