Mac-Love seeing your face!

Beth-Thinking of you! You are going to do greatly!

Fanny-Love the pictures. I wish that I had the ability to take pictures well. My pictures are always ugly.

Hi to everyone else!

*Note: Last Wet Season, I saw warnings come through that said the Apparent Temperature was 63C!! That's 145.4F!!!

Do you live in Australia or hell?!? And I thought Memphis, TN was fricken hot!

I just realised, tomorrow is my 2 year bandiversary! wow!

CONGRATS!!!

i can't do it - you actually can't pay me to do it.

I concur! I'd rather have a root canal; you get better drugs!!

I get to spend the night. Look at it like a mini vacation. lol Getting waited on hand and foot, drug cocktails, and cable tv (don't have cable at home). What could be better? :w00t:

The best thing about the hospital overnight is the morphine drip - woohoo! By the time you read this, you'll be home. Make sure you get up and walk around! Very important!

I will have my band 2 years next month. Time sure flys.

I wish someone would tell me how to get a cool new avatar.

Susan posted a website name many pages ago. Sorry but I don't remember the name.

PJTP - have you all heard of pandora.com? I've been listening to it forever and still just love it! (Listen every day at work.) It's a "radio" station of streaming music. You sign up (for free) and specify an artist/band you like and it plays your selection and similar artists/bands. Then if something comes up that you really like you give it a :cool2: and if something you don't like comes up, give it a :smile2: and it immediately goes away. It continues to narrow down what exactly it is you like! LOVE IT! (No I don't work for them or anything; just sayin')

PS - you can have multiple "radio stations."

PJTP - I hate that cars have secret sensors that signal them to autodestruct after X number of years. After 10 years of faithful service with not one, not ONE, problem...in the last 6 months my Toyota has: needed a front end adjustment; a 247$ wiper arm replacement and switch; and as of 324 pm today it has decided that nope, it isn't going to run on all 4 cylinders - only 3. DH knows what the problem is, but can he fix it? Nope...too many computer sensors and things. Is there any garage or dealership open in this small town on a Saturday afternoon when I am in need, and supposed to be driving a few hundred miles to get my mother? NOPE. Is there a car rental agency open? NOPE. Am I frustrated????

Deep cleansing breath, find my happy place, ommmmmm.....

Tap-I am so sorry that your car is deciding to be a pain in the arse. I hope it feels better soon. ;0p

I feel the need to gripe. My not so DH is really working on my last nerve at the moment. I don't know if it is my losing a little weight (I SO don't look hot) or what, but every time I get on lapbandtalk, he is questioning me about who I am talking to. Who am I waiting on to get on here. He is really making me want to scream. I have never given him a reason to think that I would ever cheat on him (mental or physical). I don't get it! grrrrrrrr!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
