I would love to make some surgery buddies now so we can go through all the pre-op requirements together and stick through surgery and beyond. Anyone else already know their surgery will occur this summer?

My surgery is going to fall in the July or August time frame. Most of this is dependent upon checking all my surgeon's boxes, the rest is dependent upon my financing since I'm self-pay. I'll be getting the sleeve.

I love my surgeon and feel really lucky to have found him. So far the pre-op stuff has gone smoothly, but I am just at the beginning stages. I've scheduled all my evals and classes and attended my first weight loss class last week. I found it to be mildly helpful. It was certainly geared more toward those that hadn't already read through the surgery binder and/or those that had no clue what healthy eating consisted of. I'm hoping future classes focus more on the post-op eating.

My first visit with my PCP about this surgery is next week as that's the soonest I could get in to see her. I'm hoping she'll be supportive as my surgeon knew of her when I told him that's who I see. But if I have to find another PCP so be it.

My first dietician appt is next week and psych eval is the week after that. I only have to get these three meetings out of the way to schedule my surgery. So I'm anxious to get that done!

I'm excited to hear from others along the same timeline as me!

One year I was feeling so sad about the state of affairs I threw a birthday party for Jesus. Made a cake and sang Happy Birthday to him. I even had a couple boy friends break up with me in December so they wouldn't have to buy me gifts. One wanted to reconcile in Mid-January but,i saw through that. Told him if I wasn't good enough over the holidays don't come slinking back now! ???

Holiday babies always get robbed in that department sadly. My mom is a twin and their birthday is 4 days before Christmas. People tend to celebrate my aunt but not mom. But she did say that growing up they got the short end of the stick birthday wise. I do have a little cousin with the same birthday as you but his mom tries to make it special every year. And nothing wrong with celebrating yourself. My birthdays are disappointing every year. I just try to at least feel pretty and maybe eat something that I really like, lol

Well I’m annoyed ☹️. Something has come up that I have to go to in my 10 day liquid diet and drs office said I MUST do 10 days, so looks like I’m going to have to change dates. Also hubby is trying to get me to wait till September. I just want this over with. I’m stress eating over everything that is going on and now I want to eat the fridge. Ahhgg this sucks. I’m going to bed so I’m far away from the kitchen lol

You eat the fridge you get Fridgidaire- itis and they won't even give you a mehanical soft diet, just put you under a stiff electromagnet and,pull the steel out. Do you suppose you could convince you were,iron deficient and just HAD to eat the fridge? Maybe worth the try!?

That’s funny, will keep that idea with me. Keep myself occupied and my mouthy teenager in his place! Is September in the summer cos it looks like I’ll have to change the date to Aug/Sept.?
