Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: 1 Year Check In
I don't think anyone comes here anymore but wanted to post anyway. I am not doing so great on my journey. Put on so much weight and trying to fix it. From the pandemic to losing some family members and very recently losing my mom things have just been really hard. I am still trying but I'm extremely discouraged. My surgeon had already given up on me for not losing enough weight. I've been referred to another surgeon to figure out how to get me back on track. I pray everyone else's journey is going well. Take care of yourselves Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

I think I'm a 38D now but my poor girls look like deflated balloons, just pitiful. Don't even want to stay in the cups most days [emoji30][emoji23] Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

Update: 19 months out and I finally hit 193! Hopefully my stall is over. For months, no matter what I did, my weight fluctuated between 195-205. Hope all is well with everyone Sent from my SM-N975U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm so COLD!
I’ve always been cold but with the weight loss I am FREEZING

How did you pick your user name?
Originally, I had my usual which was my actual first and middle name. I changed it because I was doing everything in secret and didn’t want to be tracked by any nosy people I might know. So it became my initials x my procedure. Nothing fancy

This is getting old.
I totally understand, was there about the same amount of time. Just hit 229 yesterday

Post Op Bra Size
I’m not done losing but so far I’ve gone from a 46DDD/48DD to a 40D. I don’t think my boobs will go any lower than a C cup because when I was smaller I was a C cup

Post Op Bra Size
All of my DD bras are too big! I’m nowhere near goal but I found an old 40D bra and it fit perfect so yay for me! lol

Face to Face Friday!
lol! I don’t even see a difference in the temples but my sunglasses did start falling off of my face! It’s odd seeing the definition coming in!

Face to Face Friday!
I think we all get some form of body dysmorphia along the way. We can’t see what everyone else sees and maybe it because we are our own worst critics. You probably look very different and don’t even know it! Thank you! And I’m still fighting the good healthy fight, lol

Face to Face Friday!
I’m only 11 weeks post op now. I still don’t see too much of a difference but I’m down 57 lbs (32 since surgery). The left pic is the day of surgery, the right was yesterday (before putting on my makeup). I guess I have a neck and more defined cheekbones now, lol. You all look awesome

What they won’t tell you after gbp
My surgeon made me do them because I had the Nexplanon birth control at the time. If you’re on a birth control or any kind of hormones or aren’t very mobile they want you to do the shots. Well where I am that’s the case anyway

What they won’t tell you after gbp
I didn’t go through a smelly phase at all after bypass. My surgeon made me wait 3 weeks before taking vitamins but I never had a smell and no one turned their noses and spoke of a smell, lol. And I had to do the lovenox injections for a week. I did them in my stomach though, not my thighs. Good luck with everything!

How old were you when?
Same! Just had mine done this year a little over a month after my 32nd birthday. But I went to the seminar about a year ago this month

How old were you when?
I got my surgery a little over a month after my 32nd birthday. I considered it back when I was about 24 or 25 but didn’t feel supported so I just let go of the urge to do it. I wish I had gotten it done then but whatever, it’s done now ?

I guess I’m regretting a little...
I have a weird suggestion for the Cinnabon craving. I bought a Cinnabon flavored creamer and add a teaspoon or 2 to my vanilla protein shakes. Yum!

LAST FEW DAYS BEFORE SURGERY---AM I TOTALLY READY?
I know I packed clothes and didn’t get to use them until discharge. They kept me in a hospital gown. And you will not be worried about what you look like during that time. You’re going to do great! I am so happy for you! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!!!

Feels like I am waiting for my death....
Same! I had no fear! The staff was kind of taken aback because I was all smiles and joking with them. I also didn’t have anyone at the hospital with me. I was alone my whole 2 day stay, no visitors. I’m sure the OP is fine now
