Oh, gosh! I wish that I liked coffee, that seems like it would be a great way to get protein and fluids in. And yes, Dr. Fitzer! Good luck at your first follow up appointment [emoji4] by any chance, do you know where soup fits in on the green sheet? Not chunky or anything just nicely purred broccoli and cheddar soup? That’s the only thing I can think about, haha!

I have steered clear of soups until this week (starting week 4). I’ve had 1/2 cup tomato and 1/2 cup black bean soup. I believe they don’t like soups because it’s drinking while eating - so for the black bean- I drain the juice and chew chew chew the beans.

None. Clear liquids only day before surgery.

I had to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate and clear liquids only. My other option was drink a bottle of miralax and Gatorade and clear liquids only.

This liquid diet is KILLING me right now... idk how they expect me to last for 4 weeks... :'(

It bothered me the first couple days. Now I’m just in a groove...but I do look forward to moving to the next stage on Wednesday?

Having different flavored shakes and red pepper /tomato soup once a day helps.

I'm not allowed soup ... only 4 shakes a day & raw veggies with no seasoning. I'm taking it a day at a time though... I'm currently on day 4!

Just had the bypass yesterday to correct issues I had with my sleeve. Feeling very good so far. Likely discharged by tomorrow!

Well guys, I did it! I am officially bypassed as of March 27th! And I am so freaking excited and happy. I can already feel restriction with "eating" and I love it! I can't wait for this journey to take off!

Congratulations Jessica on a smooth surgery. May your recovery be equally smooth and your future days hold joy for the future, never have regrets for the past, for everyone builds their present on them and grows on each day they live, healthier and stronger. [emoji7]

Had my by pass on Monday March 26 and was released on Friday. Was scheduled to be released on Thursday. Was kept an extra day due to minor fever, and trying to determine the source. I am so appreciative of the medial team, from the surgeons , nurses, patient care tech, house keeping, food service team (even though consumed very little). Looking forward to being an active participant on the LOSSERS BENCH.
