  3. Well guys, I did it! I am officially bypassed as of March 27th! And I am so freaking excited and happy. I can already feel restriction with "eating" and I love it! I can't wait for this journey to take off!
  4. My surgeon said the average he usually does is about 1/3 or about 100cm. For me he wanted to do about 1/2 or 150cm to give my weight loss a little more momentum. He discussed this with me at my pre-op appointment and i agreed. My surgery was on the 27th of March and he ended up bypassing about 160cm!
  5. I had to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate and clear liquids only. My other option was drink a bottle of miralax and Gatorade and clear liquids only.
  6. Anyone else doing bowel prep with me today? Ughhhh lol Surgery tomorrow morning! I'm the first of the day, check in time 6am, surgery at 8am! I cannot believe it's here!
  7. Yesterday (Monday) was day one of my pre-op diet. I'm allowed 2 protein shakes, a smart meal, and a smart snack per day. I had all but the snack as I didn't need it. However it's almost 5am and I still haven't been able to fall asleep. Is it normal to experience insomnia and restlessness during the pre-op diet?
  8. Hi y'all! Just wondering, I have some fears/nervousness about my upcoming procedure. My first fear is that I wasn't truly approved and someone at my surgeon's office made a mistake. The only reason I feel this way is because on my silly insurance website, my procedure is still not listed under authorizations. However when the office manager for my surgeon called last Thursday she said she heard back from them and I was approved. The other fear I am dealing with is my surgeon going in to to the procedure and for some reason will have to close me up without completing surgery and tell me there's no way I can have bariatric surgery. (I have had 3 C-sections, a hysterectomy, and my gallbladder removed so I guess my fear stems from maybe having too much scar tissue from those procedures?) I do suffer from general anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. I guess I just wanted and needed to get all of this off of my chest and maybe ask if any of you have any suggestions to calm my irrational fears and nervousness? Thanks so much for listening if you made it this far. [emoji8]

  14. Mine isn't too bad. I do a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, a smart dinner, and one smart snack a day. I pretty much do that now for the most part.

  18. Why are you on the pre op diet if you don't have a surgery date yet?
