I have no regrets. I just wish I had done it years ago. I'm currently 185 pounds. Down from my highest weight of 330 pounds. My life is brand new. I'm off of 3 different diabetes medications, 2 blood pressure meds, and acid reflux meds. I can run and enjoy my 5 year old. I feel like I have a second chance at life.

I have never regretted my decision. Sleeved 28 July 2027. Toughest time was the preop diet. I have had a complication free recovery and transitioned through diet phases moderately easily. Had a period where I just couldn't eat much due to completely being turned off food. All good down. I am still earring what I can eat or not eat. My stomach tells me very quickly if u eat something that I am no longer able to tolerate. Chinese food for example.

I'm regretting it a little, but I think it's just because of the diet right now. I just got to my puree stage, and I haven't eaten real solid food since the day before Thanksgiving. That has been a real downer, especially when I see other people eat or am around real food. I think most people find WLS a very positive thing long term.

No regrets. WLS was 6/21/2016, 154 lbs lost. You cannot regret saving your health and changing your life.

I have similar stats and my goal weight is 180. I am currently 240 and Started at 294...I am 4.5 months post vsg. Was wondering how long did it take you to get to goal and any tips or advice you can give me? Feel like I will never get to goal but trying to stay positive. I have nuuumerous stalls and it's getting to me. To the OP I have absolutely no regrets. Life is too short to wait for relief. We have to do our best for ourselves and never give up. Sometimes you have to do drastic things in life in order to survive...this is one of them.

The jury is still out. I’m only 16 days post op, and it’s been a difficult recovery so far.

hoping you feel better soon!!!

15 months post op tomorrow. No regrets. I did it to get off my meds and I did. No longer diabetic cholesterol is 114. I am still at 202 but satisfied because of my eating habits. If I loose I loose if I stall I stall. I am in a 12 size large and 8 shoe ring finger is now a 6 before I was a 26 size 3x 10 shoe 10 ring finger.

What has been the problem(s)? I'm 6 weeks out and really sticking with shakes, but getting nutrients. Had a couple of backed up esophagus scares, but I'm learning to take smaller bites, chew like crazy, and take my time.

I'm getting surgery on the 10th, and I'm so worried about complications. Did anyone have any?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
