  3. I'm the same as you. I'm 4 weeks post op tomorrow. In week 1 I lost 8.5lbs, week 2 I lost 2.5lbs and last week I lost 0lbs. I normally weigh myself on a Friday but I have been a bit down over it so I weighed myself Wednesday morning and found I have gained 2lbs. It's so disheartening this early. I've a review with my surgeon Monday so I hope he'll help me. I'm following all I've been told to do. But I feel I can eat so much more than I should be even though I am eating so much less than before. I'm stressed from it. But you are right. It's a marathon. A life long one! Just do our best and support each other on this site. I work for a doctor who told me it's normal to stall for a month then it'll start coming off. We are still healing too. Best of luck! 4. I'm so sorry for what you are going through but you have to do what you feel is right. Will he sit and talk to you about why he feels as he does? I hope it all works for you x Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Thanks. I guess every diet I did failed hence this op. It's a pattern and I'm afraid of it. Guess I'm just having one of those days Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. I lost over 8lbs in the first week after surgery. Then on my second week I only lost 2.5lbs. I'm getting scared I'm going to fail. Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app

  12. Doing brilliantly thank God. Had my surgery the 12th, home the 15th. Can't eat everything on my post op plan because I get too full but no pain and I have good energy today. Up to know I would get dizzy and lose energy very quickly. Wounds healing well. All in all I'm so delighted. I do miss work. Sitting around isn't for me lol Best of luck with yours. Do exactly as your doc says and ask all questions even if you feel it might be a daft one. Then you'll fly at it! Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. I wouldn't worry. My dietician said to eat what I can but when I'm full, stop. And to try regulate my eating so I'm eating same time everyday. That way my body gets used to it Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. So I'm 4 days post op. Came home yesterday. Just the drive from the hospital had me wrecked. Didn't sleep great last night, think my bed is too flat and my back is a bit sore from lying on it but apart from that I'm flying. Rang my doctor today cause experiencing some numbness and pins and needles in one leg. He thinks I might have bruised a nerve with the compression stockings and should be fine in a few days. I do find as well that I can't walk for more than a few mins without getting a bit dizzy and needing to sit. But if that's the worst I'm laughing. Fingers crossed!! Only thing I'm worried about is going stir crazy sitting round for two weeks doing nothing. First world problems! Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app

  22. Day 3. Had a roughish morning. Had a sudden bang of nausea and awful gas. Just wanted to burp all the time. It was very painful but luckily a few meds sorted me and I slept awhile. Had my first shower. Was heaven!! Drunk cubitan now. Nice to have something a bit thicker than water and more flavour. Looking forward to going home tomorrow Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. One of my nurses gave me good advice. If you roll a towel up and press it just under your chest (this is where my surgery sights are) as you get up it eases the pain. Same for if you cough etc. The pressure helps relieve the muscle ache from there. Been a big help to me Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I don't know but the nurses last night found nothing odd about it. Mention it to your doc if your unsure though Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Yes. I slept last night with a fan pointed at me Sent from my Moto G (5) using BariatricPal mobile app
