I am now off my last remaining blood pressure med! No more dry mouth for this gal!

So now the only medications I’m on are antidepressants and Vitamin supplements!

I've been out of town for three months, so for a lot of people in my town it looks like these changes have happened all at once. Two of the nail salon workers spent 5 minutes gossiping with each other about how my face had thinned out, how my cheekbones are more prominent, and how my butt and thighs are much smaller (though they thought I wasn't using enough sunblock because I've freckled this summer). They also decided that it wasn't plastic surgery and that I must be eating practically nothing. This all happened right in front of me while I'm getting a pedicure.

They have entirely forgotten that I understand Korean.

Omg, this cracked me up. Did you tell them you could understand them? I would have had a hard time keeping a straight face!

I would have if they'd made eye contact! They were so studiously NOT looking at me that they missed my expression, which would have made it pretty obvious that I absolutely understood what they were saying. I didn't say anything at the time because Korean has mostly optional pronouns, so technically they could've been talking about someone else (they were not) and I do not want to get into a Korean argument with a nail salon ahjumma.

Today's NSV was going into the office in the middle of the day, and tons of people were in for a sales meeting, so I got the pleasure of: being stopped on my way into the lobby because the longtime guard didn't recognize me; getting stopped at the front desk because the longtime receptionist also didn't recognize me; and being repeatedly blanked by coworkers who took a full three seconds to register who I was. One of them entered a meeting room I'd booked, apologized extremely politely, then came running back in when he realized it was me all along. It's INSANE.

I just bought and fit a pair of size 2 jeans. I was wearing a 24 before surgery.

I just realized that I'm up cycling my plus sized skirts (cutting them in half and sewing) for my two early teen daughters to each have skirts from. I'm just about out of clothes to upcycle!!!!

I've Got one! My very Firstest one.I have lost 15 pounds in one month on my liver shrinking diet. Thought I still look FAT!
Okay I had to visit my PCP for a presurgical visit. He has in his waiting and exam rooms many chairs with arms, only a few without. I have even been known to snarl " get up and give me they chair" You see the ones with the arms PINCH my thigh and hip flab. Yesterday I wasn't thinking and I sat, down in an armed chair and fit. No pinching, no have to be pulled up out of one, I could sit in it and had 1/8 inch clearance on either side. A chorus please My Rump is getting Smaller My Rump is getting smaller!
An NSV a really truly NSV!

A 4 is basically the thigh of a 24.

Thanks!!!!

Im just glad i dont have to mourn their lose as these were my very expensive top of the line clothes (hence the upcycle instead of donations)

I'm actually buying lesser quality clothing these days (when I do purchase) because if the size changes happening quicker, no need to invest in super high quality for 2 months worth of wears lol !!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
