Always seeing myself the same fat girl

Today is 10 weeks post op....I'm losing slowly and hitting lots of stalls....I know I'm having some progress because my clothes are looser...my coworkers say things complimentary but I feel it's obligatory or just to be nice...I'm down 65#IMG_2830.JPG

65 pounds in 10 weeks is AWESOME! I'm sorry you can't see the difference, because I can! I hope that changes for you soon. Are you doing measurements regularly, too?

(measurements)

take the tape by the horn, and

get started NOW!!

numbers on the scale might not

being going down, but by

measuring your tummy, hips, etc

you will see that you might have

lost inches.

i know it seems like a lot but it seems like the consensus on the forum is that if you start at a higher weight like myelf over 400# that i should be dropping much faster. im sure if i picked up my exercising that i could be a little more but to be honest I have no energy and i am exhausted all the time.

No, it is a lot. You have lost an average of 6.5 lbs per week and 26 per month!! I'm not sure how much faster you think you should be losing, but I really think you are doing incredible. I see a big difference in your photos.

I don't think I have read anything where anyone says you should be losing X amount each week. I think what has been said is the averages lost are usually higher for those that start at a higher BMI. In my opinion you have exceeded the averges. Be proud and happy for your accomplishment and keep it up!!!

How do you know your co-workers aren't genuinely happy for you? Maybe they are. I think you need to start believing in yourself and know that you are worthy. Even if you never lose another pound you are a beautiful person. Believe it!!

thank you. i really do appreciate your encouragement. im always afraid of failure. ive never completed anything in my whole 50 years on earth lol i just want once to do so:)

I think we focus way to much on our outwardly appearance. For me it was a self fulfilling curse. I am trying to focus on my inner well-being and that seems to work.

You can see an AMAZING difference! Have you tried your pre-op clothes on? Don't tell me they're not looser?
You are doing great!
#believeinyourself!

you look great!!!!! 65 lbs is amazing, you should be proud!

If I may, you look FANTASTIC and a 65lb. loss is HUGE. Please listen to someone who is honest and certainly is not obligated! Keep up the great job!

That's almost 1 pound a day!! And you say you had stalls, which by the way are totally normal. It's just your body playing catch is the way I looked at it. You're doing fantastic. Don't compare yourself to others, it will drive you batty. Also, take measurements today...cause when the stalls start again the measuring will keep you motivated. Even when the scale isn't your friend sometimes....that measuring tape is! Keep up the good work!! Awesome job!
