THANK YOU!!!! This is dead on and 100% true! It isnt about staples "magically melting away", its (quite literally) about organ donation! This topic seems to be commonly breezed over. @killian I just got the stretchy "sippy cup lids" from amazon today. My surgery is Saturday and I pick up my passport Friday! Just in time. Sh*t just got real! On the bright side I have dropped 13 lbs in 5 days from my pre op diet[emoji4] I was SHOCKED. The only reason I weighed myself was to put it on here. Im not a big believer in scales. I also quit smoking [emoji41]. Basically I now look like an anxiety ridden chubby lady whose pants are now too big[emoji23] Hope you are well shipmate. Catch me up on your journey. I can relate and Congrats on retirement and your SX (surgery) date! Im a USN Corpsman vet myself. Amazon boxes are arriving in droves at my house. I recently resigned from my position at work to focus on my "battle". My SX date is 10/28/17, Im excited and apprehensive too. WE CAN DO THIS!
