Orange and Grapefruit Juice

Recommended Posts

I'm 10 weeks post Gastric Sleeve surgery. I'd like to have a half-glass of Grapefruit juice. Anyone else enjoying or have suffered from pure grapefruit or orange juice?

You can have the juice...

Nonetheless, just because you can have it doesn't mean you should. While juice is perceived as healthy, most juices have just as much sugar as soda.

If you want orange juice, it's better to enjoy an orange. If you want grapefruit juice, enjoy an actual grapefruit instead. Due to the Fiber in fruit, the body's reaction to the fruit sugar is mitigated.

In addition, it's a horrible idea to drink your calories so early in the game. fruit juice is empty calories: devoid of Protein, fiber, and healthy fat. It's a waste of time and space in your sleeve.

Hey there, congrats on being on the other side. My surgeon said no more juice forevs. But you're in luck. Go order the Synthrax nectar grapefruit flavored Protein Powder. I swear it's as close to a "morning glass" of grapefruit juice you will experience! It's really delicious--one of my favorite flavors. And the good news is, it's almost or is zero carb/zero sugars + packs a Protein wallop.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
