  4. I brought up my concern a few weeks back. I had just went below 170 at the time. Doctor wasn't overly concerned. Mention drinking a weight gain shake. He is supposed to call me after I notified his office yesterday what my weight had d5opped down too. Still waiting for that call.

  6. Thank you. These charts are crap. If anything they show you what is too thin if you fit in their normal range. The real concern is that I dropped 25 pounds over the past 5-6 weeks. 18 months into this my weight should be stabilizing - maybe drop a pound a week and even seeing a few weeks where I gain a bit.

  9. I eat anything I want because after after 4 to 6 ounces, I'm done. But you should know that I've had post-op complications. I got multiple infections, stomach leaked, 4 surgeries and so on and so on.

  11. Friends, Have any of you experienced too much weight-loss? I started at 402 and 18 months later I'm 159. I was 184 just 6 weeks ago and that was perfect for me and my doctors. Has anyone else found themselves unable to stop dropping pounds?

  13. That makes sense. Thank you.
  14. I am 9 weeks out from Gastric Bypass surgery. 9 months ago I had the sleeve performed but due to leaks I was converted into a bypass. For the past few weeks, especially at bedtime, I am passing an enormous amount of gas. When I wake up, I continue until I get out of bed. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know why? I don't think I eat enough to pass so much gas.
  15. The first week after any surgery is tough. The water intake will get better. Make sure to try and drink a few ounces every hour.
  16. Because the sleeve leak cannot be surgically repaired and if it's not fixed, I will continue to get infections. With bypass they create new stomach.
  17. Low-grade fever and lower left-side abdominal pain.
  18. The Leak was realized a few weeks after surgery. It appeared to be healing on its own and contained. But I have developed two infections that are related to the leak, so unless the scan shows complete healing on Monday, we will schedule a bypass. This is why I want to know about recovery time. I have a short trip planned for mid-March that I don't want to cancel.
  19. As you can see from my profile, I've received a gastric sleeve nearly 6 months ago and have had great success. Unfortunately, my stomach has a leak, so most likely my sleeve will be converted to a bypass. I want to know from Bypass recipients, how long after surgery where you back doing normal activities? Began exercising?

  22. I decided to have one drink, a vodka cranberry. By sip 4 I was drunk. I nursed it for about 90 minutes and drank water the rest of the night. The next day I was down another half-pound. Empty calories wasn't my concern as I was only having one drink and don't drink often. It's kind of funny knowing that if I want to be buzzed, I can have half a drink. Congrats on your success.
  23. I am 5 months out and down 110 pounds. On Christmas Eve I want to be able to have one alcoholic drink. Has anyone had an experience with booze yet after surgery?

  26. That's 11 pounds in 12 days. That is awesome. You'll be 350 by New Years, if not Christmas. Keep it up!!!
