Bariatric Advantage Vitamins

Recommended Posts

I use the kind you swallow by Bariatric Advantage. They're three big horse pills per dose, but I hate chewables. I like them well enough.

My Dr recommended the Bariatric Advantage chewable as it is complete...no additional Vitamins needed. It is four tablets. I like the mixed berry.

I cannot stand the flavor of the Bariatric Advantage chewable multi-vitamins. I'm shopping around for a better flavor. I dread taking them 2x a day. I'm a DS patient, so I have to have them for life. I've got to find something I can live with because Bariatric Advantage makes me shiver/gag when I take them.

I currently use the Bariatric Advantage chewable vitamins, the favor is citrus. I don't have a issue with the taste, plus I only have to take one pill because it has almost all the Vitamins that I need. Prior to using the chewable Vitamin I used the Bariatric Advantage pill that you swallow, that was difficult for me after my surgery.

I have tried all the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins. I prefer the chews. The capsules I had a very hard time getting down and I would find myself skipping them. I tried the chewable tablets - they made me gag. The chews are my choice.

I use Celebrate in capsules. I rtake 2 a day. I was told if they were to bigg I could open them and sprinkle them on some applesauce or yogurt, I never had a probem with them. The capsules go down pretty good. I am 4 years out and have always taken them. I did try the Centrum chewable right after my RNY but I couldn't stand the sweetness. That is when I started taking Celebrate. Good Vitamins.

Before I say this ,I want to preface that you should always check with your doctor before taking anything after bariatric surgery. I bought the BariatricPal chewables and could hardly tolerate swallowing them. Checking in with the surgeon during a regular follow up appointment, I asked if there were any alternatives to these. She said I could substitute Flintsones complete chewable. Not only do are they so much less expensive, they taste okay. Been taking them ever since and it's been over 3 years and labs have always been good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
