I don't think it sounds like you are behind at all everyone's body is different. I had the lapband put in a few years ago and now I'm going for the bypass next week and I'm nervous about the walking!

Don't worry--don't rush it. Go at your own pace. You'll hear this over and over again, "Everybody is different. Don't compare." You're fine!!

Before surgery were you able to walk around the block five times per week?

I am 8 days post sleeve and have managed to walk around the block daily the past 3 days. I read on this forum, which by the way is very helpful, thanks, about people walking a mile, 2 miles etc. I feel as though I am lagging behind. I still have quite a bit of pain when I move, and usually need 2 naps a day. I can't imagine being back at work, although I see some people return to work after a week. I am just starting blended food and have met my fluid and protein goals from the start. Do I sound like I'm behind in the walking department?
