Not using the lap belt extender on an airplane. Tying my shoes without a struggle. Same with socks. Having a lap again. To stop snoring when I sleep. Cute clothes! Fitting into clothes that don't have an X on the size. Too many things to name really. :)

I'm looking forward to taking a real family photo where I'm not holding my kids up in front of me like little hostages, trying to hide my fat

I do that. Lol 😂

I've actually had to buy those elastic shoelaces that you put on oncexand don't have to tie again! I CANNOT tie my right shoe in the am because my back is so stiff, I can't reach. I've actually had to go into work and ask co-workers to tie it for me....how embarrassing!

I think that I am looking forward to
When my chest is smaller and less back pain. Being chest heavy I am prone to hunching forward. Having less on my chest will also allow me
to run or do high impact exercise with more ease. Also being able to cross my legs again is huge. I'd never thought I was taking it for granted when I could. When I go to church I always have to wear a long skirt so I can sit appropriately

Wipe my butt without going through fifteen types of stretching exercises beforehand.

Oh and sitting on a chair with my knees curled up to my chin. Always thought that looked very cool :)

Do naughty things with my husband...

Stopping blood pressure meds.
Not having to sleep with a Cpap (hopefully)
No longer needing Viagra
No more constant back and knee pain.
Playing with my kids.
Not being embarrassed by my size.
Not worrying if a chair can support me.
Lifting again.
Depression will lessen.
*these are in no particular order of importance*

I just wanted to add my own little list and make my first post! :D

  • Knee pain
  • Snoring - Possible sleep apnea (first hoop for surgery :P)
  • Dressing my age (shopping at any store, like previously mentioned)
  • Seeing myself at a healthy weight for the first time in my life
  • Preventing preventable diseases
  • Being able to keep up with my fiancé and daughter
  • Taking our first family photo together (with me in it this time)
  • and of course increased energy, decreased drowsiness, & less UTI's!

Of course there's a lot more but that's the top of my list, i believe :)

There are a TON of things I'm looking forward to, but the one defining difference between fat-me and thin-me is dancing. I want to be able to go social dancing again -- swing, salsa, etc. My knees will work better when I'm 90 or so pounds lighter than now. I'm not even 50 yet -- life shouldn't be this sedentary!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
