I'm looking forward to carrying less weight on my knees and feet. Hoping that some of my many medical problems will be corrected as time goes by. Buying smaller clothes is always a plus but my main goal is to be healthier all the way around.

clothes is a given with our surgeries for me its being able to play with my nieces and nephews without feeling like I am going to pass out swimming and getting back to the life I had before I put on this amount of weight when I was in my mid to late 20s I was an active person played sports I would love to go hiking and camping again.

I look forward to getting off the electric mobility device and being able to walk for more than 5 minutes without a cane and pain. Taking a walk on the beach, being able to bowl, and ball room dance are just a few things I haven't been able to do for over 27 years and I truly miss them. I thought once I lost the weight these things would happen. However now is appears that the only thing that might help is back surgery. The Doctor will not do it until I am at goal and all the excess skin has been removed,

Getting rid of the constant back pain I have. I was diagnosed with Degenerate Disc Diesease late last year and my weight doesn't really help with that either. It also makes it hard to workout sometimes. I would also LOVE to be able to keep up with my daughter. I don't want her to remember me as a "lazy" Mommy who hardly ever played with her.

My main goal is to remain healthy and avoid having any ailments due to the excess weight. In addition, one NSV I want it to have room left over on my seat belt while traveling on a plane. If I gain an extra 1" on my waistline I will need a seat belt extender. [emoji30]

Looking forward to not being called fat by my own family! So inconsiderate I am ridiculed because they ask if I am still on my "diet" and that I'm going to gain it all back no help whatsoever and I am very sensitive about my weight because I have pain all day long lately.

I can't wait to be able to stop being so tired all the time. And stop being so Depressed. I don't wana go out or get dressed. I have wicked Migraines, sleep apnea, arthritis in my knee,, my feet kill me. I can't wait to get this horrible weight off of me and to able to shop in regular size stores. To not have to sit in a car n pull on the safety belt. Not to wear big bathing suits anymore. To feel healthy again. And not to be the fat mom anymore. To be able to wear anything in my closet. And not eat and feel sick anymore. To finally feel happy about myself and how I look n feel. And to be able to fly and not worry that I'll fit in a seat. To be able to go on a business trip away with my husband without worrying about how I look. I just can't wait for my my new life to begin.

I think just finally loving myself would be what I most look forward to.

Sweety, weight loss will not make you love yourself.

It's kinda like I tell my 11 year old. I love YOU, I just don't like what you DID.

It's ok to love yourself yet dislike the fat.

But if you believe they are one and the same, and therefore changing the outside will change the inside... It just doesn't work that way.

Please start a new thread of your own so that the very knowledgeable people on here can help steer you toward good books, etc.

I'm mostly looking forward to being more mobile and to not being exhausted all the time.

im definitely looking forward to being able to run. I have always wanted to run for a long period of time but I always get exhausted. I am hoping if I lighten the load a bit It will be easier for me to run.

I want to hike in the mountains easier than it was today. I spent an hour hiking and wanted to go to the top of the trail, but it was too far. I am pre-op but trying hard to get more involved during this program process now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
