  8. I'm also Canadian, where did you get your surgery? I had mine done in Victoria, BC.
  9. I don't like the user interface of MFP at all. It's way more complicated than it needs to be. I used to use Samsung app until they canceled it as it was much easier to use. Needs to be tablet friendly please. All of the previous suggestions were good ones. Being able to enter a recipe would be helpful, so it could calculate your ingredients for you. 13. I started My liquid diet last Monday, so one week I'm down almost 15 pounds. I guess starving yourself will do that...lol It hasn't been as bad as I imagined it would be. So any of you just starting, don't fret it.
  14. I understand the reasoning behind the diet, however I don't think that any doctor can agree on what the best course of action is or we would all be doing generally the same one. My only guess is that it has to do with pre-op weight, individual activity level and possibly BMI, but that's only a guess. Don't beat yourself up over it, just be very strict the next few days and you can only pray at this point. Chin up.
  15. You are in Ustralia so we can't get together and chat, as I am in Canada. However, if you need an ear I'm here. My date is the 8th as well.
  16. I wish I only had 2...alas it seems every doc has their own way.
  17. I feel your pain. I'm on day three. How many weeks do you have? I have to do 3. I don't have co-workers, but family to deal with.

  20. You can use powdered peanut butter. There are a few different kinds, but I use Tru Nut. I like it to add extra flavoring and protein to my shakes.
  21. I started my liquid diet today. I use Allmax Quickpro and I have the slim fast protein as well as my isofemme powder so I can make my own shakes. I had two shakes so far today, a sugar free jello, and some homemade chicken broth and Pacific organic Mushroom broth that I found very satisfying. All that and I'm only at 380 calories, I have 800 to go, I guess I'll have another shake...lol.
  22. Me too, start my liquid diet. I have 3 weeks of it.

  26. My surgery is on May 8th. Almost time for my liquid diet pre-op. Since I have started cutting back on calories, carbs etc. Awhile ago, I recently started feeling nauseous after I eat. Has anyone else had this problem?
  27. I was thinking about buying some myself, now I'm not sure....
