Pre op liquid diet

I feel so bad I got off my 2 week liquid diet 6 days in my surgery is 4/26 so I am getting back on nothing but liquids the next 3 days. What I dont understand is another doctor in tje same office only put his patients on a 3 day diet,so I figur I will be ok. I was only eating 1 low carb meal a day. Still have lost weight too. Any thoughts on this?

I understand the reasoning behind the diet, however I don't think that any doctor can agree on what the best course of action is or we would all be doing generally the same one. My only guess is that it has to do with pre-op weight, individual activity level and possibly BMI, but that's only a guess. Don't beat yourself up over it, just be very strict the next few days and you can only pray at this point. Chin up.
