I am almost one week post op. I feel really good. I'm allowed to eat things like Jello, yogurt ect. Can I eat couple noodles? They are super soft and their consistency is almost like Jello. Ideas ?

I am 9 days post op and I'm still on Clear Liquids. I go to the Dr tomorrow and hopefully he'll move me to the puree stage. Didn't your surgeon give you a good time line?

Yes. He said after 2 weeks I can have things like refried Beans ect. But I am dying to just have a little something in my mouth other than liquid. It's driving me nuts.

I totally understand, I'm right there with you BUT my advice would be to just hold off until it's time. It will fly by quickly

Hold off on the noodles. They will work your stomach too hard for this time. A couple months of letting your tummy heal will pay dividends!

Even when you get refried Beans, they need to be very runny.

Noodles are very starchy and they are hard for your stomach to process. I would just follow the guidelines they gave you.

Lets Look at them side by side:

SF Jello cup: 10 calories 0g fat 0g carbs

Cup o noodles: 314 calories 14g fat 42g carbs

So even if you could have the noodles, you can clearly see why they would be on the no list. ;)

I'm on pureed, just started. The ricotta bake is like heaven. However, made a scrambled egg, two bites and the most horrible dry heaves! Your sleeve will instantly tell you.

What is this ricotta bake I keep hearing about?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
