My addiction to food is what made me regret having the surgery. I'm just a week post op and I feel great. I'm happy. Eating my little Soups and popsicles. It's a mental battle of mind over matter. I started phase 2 where I can have fuller liquids. Made me some brown sugar cream of wheat 😐 I ate 2-3 spoonfuls and I was out. I felt like I just ate a 12oz ribeye with a loaded potato. I made a great decision for ME & my kids just my inner fat girl is screaming Whyyyyyyyy?! Wish you the best ❤️

I had the sleeve 5 months ago and it was the best decision ever, No regrets. No looking back.

Zero regrets whatsoever.. Even when I couldn't eat some foods.. Even now, at almost 4 months post op, and not being able to tolerate strawberry flavoured food items (which was the only thing I could tolerate pre-op)

I had the bypass on 2/15. No meds once I left the hospital and have followed the plan and I have no regrets. Everyone I've met through my program and support groups have loved whichever surgery they had. Only regrets have been not getting it sooner. Good luck, happy journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
