My date was changed from March 23rd to April 3rd, so I'm now an April sleever-to-be! I was a tiny bit sad about the date change, but it's fine. My last meeting with the surgeon / consent signing is 3/15 and my anesthesia clearance is scheduled right after across the street. I'm trying very hard to stay on track with my diet. I'm so excited about this new chapter in my life!

My date is also April 3rd!!! I'm starting to get nervous but wish it was here already!! Im self pay cause insurance doesn't cover so didn't have to wait for all that stuff but preop tests were all good!!! Good luck on your journey!!

I can't believe how quickly the time has come to bring us to the brink of our surgeries in April. With that being said, what crucial things have you guys already bought in preparation for the big event?

I bought my sippy 360 cup, which I heard helps with those first couple of weeks with drinking Water. I don't want to accidentally drink out of a glass too fast and feel the pain. I still need to buy my Gas-X strips for the hospital, to help with getting the gas/air out. I bought my calcium citrate with Vitamin D chewables--which were ridiculously expensive as Vitamins go. I've already been taking my B Complex-50 tablet and Centrum women's multi Vitamin gummies.

Other than that, I have nothing. I'm still a month away, but I was curious the 'must haves' you all have thought to get in preparation for your surgery.

I purchased Diet Tools cutlery set and have been using it already and they are actually great. I also made a purchase of New Whey 42. Its Protein Shots. It's a shot of 40gms of Protein for the days you can't get your protein in.

I'm not read up so much on the Protein Powder, but need to be since I need to purchase some. I know some say get the flavorless kind so you can add it to Soups and things. But I'll look up the New Whey!

On a side note, I was reading about Beach Body's shakeology shakes this morning. Even though they are ridiculously expensive, I love how many health benefits are in them. They only have 15 ish grams of protein, so it's not ideal as a Meal Replacement like a premier shake would be, but it's still impressive.

I am not sure this was a good idea. I think I will drive myself crazy watching this but I created my own countdown calendar. https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20170426T0530&p0=219&msg=My+Surgery&font=cursive

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
