Gallbladder Removal
Ugh, 3 months post op and I just had my gallbladder out yesterday. Ultrasound before vsg was clear and this time was full of stones. Luckily, surgeon was able to use the same incisions but man oh man, I am hurting! I had just gotten back to using my abdominal muscles and ended my lifting restrictions. I knew this was an eventual result of the vsg, but I just wasn't expecting only 3 months later to be back in the operating room.

Straws
I use straw all day, everyday. No issues or problems at all. I do much better getting my liquids in with it than I would without it.

How long to return to normal energy level
I was MUCH more tired in the pre op diet than I ever was after surgery. I was in pain but felt normal energy wise by 1 week post op.

Menstrual cycle changes
I was prepared for this to happen since I heard of it happening a lot but the opposite happened to me. I'm 5.5 weeks post op and my cycle is late and hasn't come back yet. I was always regular before surgery.

9 days post op
Depends on your starting weight. I'm down 27 lbs in 5 weeks. 9 days is fast.

Sleeping/discomfort/low energy
I'm 4 weeks post op today and I still can't sleep on my left side. I can lay slightly on my right side with a soft pillow wedged under my but I have not been sleeping well at all. I haven't slept through the night since surgery and it's really taking its toll.

Omeprazole (Prilosec)
I was not told to take it at all.

Nerve pain
Mine is to the left of my belly button. I knew that was the one because my stomach is indented underneath where they put internal stitches.

An odd question
Not worth the read. Full of spelling errors and grammar errors. I couldn't even force myself through it.

Two month anniversary! 60 pounds!
Awesome, congrats on seeing such good results from your hard work!

Has anyone had isopure protein juice??
They're disgusting.

Feeling very tired
I'm 4 weeks post op today and I feel like a million bucks. The fatigue stopped at about 2.5 weeks for me. I'd feel even better if I was sleeping well.

Nerve pain
Yes, I had extreme nerve pain from about post op day 6 until around 2.5-3 weeks out. It wasn't the incision though but where my internal stitches were (the indent in my abdomen below the largest incision). It was agony. I had a nerve ending caught in the internal stitching. Nothing I could do but wait it out. Totally gone now at 4 weeks post op and I feel great- but I definitely can't sleep on my left side yet.

Mud Run 2w3d Post-op? Crazy?
I never could have, but if you have an easy recovery, that's great. I definitely hope for that for you. At 2 weeks my incisions were not closed- running probably would have caused damage or opened them up for infection.

Very emotional after the sleeve procedure
My surgery was 4/12 and I definitely feel this way. I have my good days and bad days but it has definitely affected me.
