I was prepared for this to happen since I heard of it happening a lot but the opposite happened to me. I'm 5.5 weeks post op and my cycle is late and hasn't come back yet. I was always regular before

Yes ma'am! I don't have the Mirena, I have the Nexplanon Implant. When I first got it about 5 years ago I was already close to my heaviest weight and had been on DepoProvera so my periods just stopped

So... personal question. Is there anyone else that has the Mirena and after surgery your menstrual cycle decided to go haywire? Had my cycle before surgery. Ended day of surgery. 2 days later it's back and has been non stop ever since. That was 3 weeks ago. If it were just spotting... I wouldn't mind too much. I was used to that. But this is full force. I know my estrogen is probably playing a part in it... but I am getting very tired of this. Lol. I had just started having normal monthly cycles 6 months ago with Mirena so I was very happy to be done with the daily bleeding. I don't think my body liked it too much for a couple years. Now I feel good enough for some "fun" with my husband... but my body is not allowing it!
Today is the first day I've had cramping with it... but I just wish it would go away.
