Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

heya Garry,

Just i read the experience that you have gone through and I dont wish it upon anyone. And am glad u are getting better.

I just wanted to know if going through the fill administrator and going to the clinics that they have set up around the country is a good idea???? I am scared as it being my first fill and all.

Are the clinics reliable ?

Regards,

RoseX

There was me blaming my band, when in fact I must have had some sort of bug, cos I had (the wildies...sorry guys) this morning.

I am feeling a lot better now, felt dreadful all day.

But my port has moved a good 3inches above where it was initially, has anyone else experienced this. God i hope I havent done any damage with all the sickness.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering how you know and how soon you know if you have had too much in a fill as I live 200 miles away from my nearest clinic n its a bit of a way to get back :sneaky: Just read Gary's which made me wonder, how's yours now Gary?

Also, does anyone know what day the fills are in Edinburgh with Fred or whoever does them? |I know this won't be a problem for a while as i'm only having my first fill in 2 weeks.

Thanks,

Sarah

Oliverdog - i got some info via email re the pre-op diet. I seem to recall that was approx a month before my scheduled op (which incidently is on tuesday)!

SingingParrot - Thanks for the birthday wishes darlin - much appreciated. Ive had a fab day and resisted temptation on the low fat diet not to stuff mi face with cake and general bad stuff (or anything that gets in mi path really) and am even going out for sushi tomorrow as my bday treat! How good am i eh? I can recite your handy list of things to take / buy in preparation and have visited Boots and bought the shop! Oooo all those loyalty points lol

Carriejess - im so pleased for ya darlin. You'll find a scrummy fella soon i can feel it in mi Water (when you do, ask if he has a brother for me), you're a darn fine lookin lass so dont settle for anything less.....and do i detect some romance happenin on the lapband forum??? XXX

Starsky - keep up the good weightloss chuck, not long to go now. I hope it was your biggest ugliest pants in the suitcase and not the racy sylph-like lacy lil' numbers that you'll be wearing shortly in a slender fashion and attracting the hoards of wonderful fellas!

Bobo - Well look at you!!!! How fab are you looking!!! You must be so pleased. Im really chuffed for ya darlin X

Freckles - so pleased you're feeling better love. Think you must keep Jacobs (cream crackers) in business tho! I think you should continue to soak up the cuddles from your gorgeous lil grandaughter and savour those right now - that'll make you much more content than ever before :sneaky:)

Its late friday night, Ive had an awesome birthday and am buzzing on adrenalin rather than wine or cider - lifechange in progress ere, more to come in 3 days!!!

(ooo i need to get weighed again tomoro and update so im aware pre-op what i weigh)

Hi Can anyone advise me please? After I am banded does Dr Chris have an aftercare service or do I need to register for one with someone else in the UK (i.e. WLS?)

Thanks:redface:

Can any of you 'old' members remember me telling you about my daughters friend who apparently had her band removed cos she was very ill???

Well I spoke to her via text yesterday, havent spoke to her for over 12 months, thought I'd lost her number but found it yesterday.

She didnt have her band removed (as the story went...chinese whispers an all) what happened was...she went down to a size 12, and then couldnt keep anything down, and was losing so much weight she went to the docs.

They took her into hospital where she stayed for 3 weeks.

They operated and found her band had slipped so they fixed it. She went down to a size 4 !!!!!

However this was last Christmas and she's fine now and needs another fill, she says she's overweight lol.

I thought it sounded strange and knew she would never part with her band she loved it so much.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
