Afternoon - i am not sure that mine has moved at all (it might have done due to weightloss and your body readjusting itself but i have not noticed)

I have definately seen on other poeples posts on the site that if you have damaged your band or it has slipped etc due to sickness etc then it really really hurts and you are normally taken to hostital.

When was your last fill? Do you think it had moved before then as i am sure that your fill doctor would have said something if they were concerned?

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes, i did say that i would post before and after pics thread but i dont think i will now.

I have posted an album on my profile though if anyone wants to look (just click on my pic) they are not really before pics though as they are from new years eve so i had already had my band for over a month and i think i was approx 1 and a half stone lighter. I could not find any before ones saved on my laptop.

The other pics are from Friday night, the new dress worked as i think i may be in love (well maybe lust!)

xx

Great pics CJ! It's really good to see before/after photos of successes as it keeps people still on the journey inspired and focused. You look like a different girl and no doubt you feel it too. Told you you didn't need to be 'hopeful' last Friday night - the dress does look great tho and has got to have helped a bit! Keep us up to date with how you're doing, Bigsis xx

Hi Freckles. I can't remember about anyone whose port has moved, but I'm sure if there was anything amiss, you would probably be feeling aware of it? Hope your bowels are behaving?! Going to see Wendy at WLS on Weds for an appt and hoping for a reasonable loss this time cos if not, I'm gonna give up and start eating cake n chocolate if having good, healthy stuff isn't working for me! Take care, Bigsis xx

heya Garry,

Just i read the experience that you have gone through and I dont wish it upon anyone. And am glad u are getting better.

I just wanted to know if going through the fill administrator and going to the clinics that they have set up around the country is a good idea???? I am scared as it being my first fill and all.

Are the clinics reliable ?

Regards,

RoseX

yeh i would call julie and book through her, i have her number if you dont.

There was me blaming my band, when in fact I must have had some sort of bug, cos I had (the wildies...sorry guys) this morning.

I am feeling a lot better now, felt dreadful all day.

But my port has moved a good 3inches above where it was initially, has anyone else experienced this. God i hope I havent done any damage with all the sickness.

i know my port is in a different position when i lie opposed to standing, i would hope thats all it isor just that you have lost fat around its as i dont se it actually moving anywhere as its stiched.

Hi guys,

I was just wondering how you know and how soon you know if you have had too much in a fill as I live 200 miles away from my nearest clinic n its a bit of a way to get back  Just read Gary's which made me wonder, how's yours now Gary?

Also, does anyone know what day the fills are in Edinburgh with Fred or whoever does them? |I know this won't be a problem for a while as i'm only having my first fill in 2 weeks.

Thanks,

Sarah

you will know pretty much right away, i was trying to be clever knowing that it relaxes after a few days but when i walked out the door i knew but thought i would get round it so i persaveered for an hour and thought no, as i would have ended up getting an emergency defill costing me £150 so i am glas i went back.

brilliant Garry, thats good news, and pray tell me why are you eating crisps, you naughty boy lol.

I do love naughty boys lol

I know my port is stitched, cos I had a dreadful stinging feeling in that area after my op, because the old one had attached itself so well the surgeon had to cut it away.

It just seems funny that its moved up 3 inches.

i hope to get my de-fill about 22nd october ready for my adventure to the Far East and Australia, so I'm sure freddy boy will tell me why lol.

I just cant wait to get loads out cos i know it will tighten on the flight to Hong Kong, which is gonna take, from manchester about 17 hours all in, cos we have a couple of hours wait in Heathrow.

I am such a greedy pig, cos the first thing i want to eat is an indian curry at our local restaurant.

I have so missed those, even though i could make the meal last over 3 days, could never eat it all in 1 or 2 goes, so maybe I'm not such a little piggy.

Ahh Bigsis you have been so good, maybe a feast of choccy will get you moving again. my bowels are great now thanx, just making sure i drink loads of Water every day.

Ah Gary soo glad your back to restriction and you were very wise to get some of your fill removed. We will have to meet up for coffee soon and maybe I will bring my sister as she and her partner are getting banded in October.

Freckles my port has moved around an inch to two inches below my port scar but a nurse friend has told me it is the fat shrinking around my middle that is acutually pulling the scar on my tummy tighter and it is this skin that has actually moved not the port. If that makes sense: Jx:blush:

Hi Everyone

My date is fast approaching I was just wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me.

Where about will the incision be, I'm assuming just below braline and above waist? where will the port be? Is it around the same area?

Do I have to do a liquid diet for 2 weeks, or is it just a low fat diet?

I believe it's a liquid diet for 2 weeks after op. Do you think slim fast would be ok for that two weeks until the mushie food starts?

After having the op (during the time of liquid diet) if I am in pain, can I take pain killers, swallow whole tablets i.e. paracetamol?

Sorry for all the questions, but I do find all your advice invaluable.

Thanks

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
