4th of July Challenge: Red, White and Blue: Whole New You!

  • Popular Post

This challenge will run from 5-30-2016 through 7-11-16 (I didn't want to end ON the holiday). This will give us a total on 7 weigh ins. This is my first challenge as an organizer - so patience is appreciated! I am following the same logic as vsgSarah3 who has done a great job administrating up till now :). I will do my best to post to the spreadsheet within 1 day of receiving your weight.

This challenge is for everyone. If you are pre op, post op, in maintenance or looking for some accountability; this challenge is for you! The rules and link to the spreadsheet are below!

Please respond to the post if you are interested and I will add your name to the spreadsheet.

Please Post Your Starting Weight (Weight on or around 5/30) and your Goal Weight (what you would like to weigh at the end of the 7 weeks) at the start of the challenge on 5/30 or before.

Rules:

1. Post your weight on this thread every Monday.

2. If you change your screen name please let me know.
3. If you miss 3 or more weigh ins, I will assume you no longer want to participate and your name will be removed from the spreadsheet.
4. If you miss a weigh in, no problem. Just post it asap.
5. We are all here to support each other, if you post a question anyone can answer.

6. You will know your weight is updated on the spreadsheet once I've liked your post!

The link to the spreadsheet is below! Have fun, and good luck with this challenge!!!

Happy Fourth all!

Weighed in at 184.4 this week! Woohoo! Beat my goal of 186!

Hoping to become a member of the Century club next weigh-in --only 2.2 lbs to go!

Thanks again, play! :)

@@shantell500 - Hi - We are almost done so I have not added you - be on the lookout for the next challenge! good luck and happy losing as you challenge yourself to meet your goals each week!

Happy 4th July to all of the US members Do you get the day off work?

119 again today. I think I need new scales as they kept reading 108. It was nice to see that number but given I ate a dozen Freddo Frogs this week, I knew it wasn't true :)

So on with the stats!

· We have 20 missing weights for the week so the weight is carried over :(

· 0 new people added and 7 dropped for non participation (I List this as it always affects the “bottom line”)

We have 2 more weigh ins (including this week) and so many are crushing it with their goals. We are 772.4 lbs from our collective goal.

I have seen quite a few posts about stalls and frustrations etc so just know – we have all been there and we are all rooting for you! You can do anything you set your mind to – and remember – the scale is just a number… I know I personally have a hard time remembering that. I did my weigh in for 6/27 on 6/27 and met my goal for the challenge and I was super excited. I weighed on Friday and I was up 2.6 pounds. It made me upset, but it gave me pause to re-examine what I was eating differently or exercising differently – or come to a decision I was in a stall – Well – I ate off diet a few days when i went back and reviewed – so that was a wake up call – and helped me go back on track – I have decided to look for NSVs (non scale victories) while I get back to weight loss. And yesterday I was able to do a new walk/run path with hills (and running) on it that I had been avoiding and I am SUPER PROUD of myself for that small accomplishment. Before my surgery in March I would have been exhausted just looking at the hill. So for all of you in a slump or perhaps will be a little off after the 4th of July holiday – Keep in mind that it a marathon not a sprint and you are AMAZING just for starting the race in the first place!

Have a great and healthy week!
