  1. I'm 18 months post op and for the past week I've been having problems with my left leg. It's been numb and feels weaker than the other leg. In the course of this past week I've fell twice scarring my left knee because my leg would trip up and cause me to completely fall. I'm really scared and don't know what to do. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem after weight loss surgery? I've been crying because it's embarrassing to fall in front of others and I find myself keep tripping up. Not all the times it results in a fall but it can be quite annoying. Please any advice will be helpful.

    Left leg weakness

Thanks everyone for your advice. I did end up going to the emergency room and they told me that I had a dislocated disc in my back and the disc has shifted to my left side causing some nerve damage to my left leg. I can't bend or move my left left foot. It just feels like my foot is asleep. So they got me on crutches to provide more support. I thought that it was surgery related because I know I have been slacking on my vitamins lately. So I thought it was due to malnutrition. But my blood work came back normal for all that, which that's good. So now I have to follow up with a neurologist for further treatment.

    Slip up

I need to know the answer to this question myself. I'm 17 mos post op, and been stuck in the 190s for about 2 mos now, and I know it's because I've been abandoning my diet. I am so close to my Dr. Goal of 180 and I feel like my pouch has expanded, because I can eat a little more and it scares the hell out of me. How can I get back on track???

    114 lbs GONE for good!

    Congratulations you look so amazing
  5. Yes for me it took almost a month for me to make it to onederland. But the feeling you get when you do make it will be worth it. You'll get there.
  6. I got up on the scale this morning and the scale said 198.4. I felt like crying because I never thought I'd make it to the infamous Onderland. If any of you that know me and remember my last posts last year. I didn't think anyone in the 3s would make it to the 1s. I had doubts because I started this journey at 342. I still have 18 more pounds to get to goal, but I was just super excited and wanted to share with you all.
  7. I'm glad I inspire you because I have no regrets. Well that's not completely true, the only regret is that I wish I would have done this sooner. I was miserable with all that weight on me. I was depressed all the time, and now I'm enjoying life, and especially shopping. I thought I would never enjoy that. But now I can't wait to shop to see how low in size I can go. I can now squeeze in a size 12. I never was able to get anywhere near the 12s. The lowest size I've ever been during my teen years to adult life was a size 18. Hope all goes well for you and thanks for joining this wonderful site. You will get all the support you need here.
  8. I'm 15 mos post op and I'm currently in a new relationship. I did tell him I lost a lot of weight, but I never told him how. I know that my scars are gonna raise questions one day, and when that day comes I'll tell him then. But we've been intimate and because I still am insecure about my body and excessive skin he really hasn't seen my scars, because I never fully get naked, and plus the lights are always off, but I'm expecting that I'll eventually have to tell him about the weight loss surgery. He did say that I shouldn't be insecure about getting naked in front of him because he loves me just the way I am, but I see all this excess skin and I'm scared that he's gonna take one look and be totally disgusted. So far he has been very supportive so I think he'll be ok when he finds out about my surgery. If not he can kick rocks with an open toe shoe.
  9. You'll get there. Before you know it you'll jump on that scale and see a 1
  10. How long it take u to get there? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App My surgery date was 4/8/15. So about 15 mos post op
  11. Well 180 is the goal the Dr set for me. I'd actually like to get down to 160. But if I go no further than 180 I'd be ok because that would still be the smallest I've ever been in my teen and adult life. Congrats on your accomplishment too, by the way
