Good luck everyone! I am supposed to start my liver shrinking diet June 1 but am planning on starting a few days early to make up for some food funerals. I'm having real fears about being able to do this (give up the food). I was doing really well on the medically supervised diet until recently. My surgeon allows coffee but am thinking maybe I should cut it out. Anyway, after researching and waiting for so long now that it's almost here it seems unreal.

We really have a whole bunch of folks having June Bypass Surgery. That's great. Let's keep in touch and support each other. I have my Clear liquid day starting Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday I will also do a bowel prep with a bottle of Mag Citrate.

I feel like I've got a bunch of stuff to get "organized", so here's my tip for all so far.

Take a day or two off before Surgery. I wish I had done that. I'm working tonight and Monday night. I'll need to sleep some on Tuesday Morning which doesn't give me a lot of time on Tuesday to get ready!

@@Lemm61 Good idea on taking off before surgery. I am Tuesday, June 7, so taking off the Monday before, plus the weekend to make sure my house is ready and I am rested for surgery. Want to give myself every chance for success. No pre-op diet, so just eating healthily, with a few scattered food funerals. Good luck with your bedroom reno - post pics when you can.

I'm june 29,2016 Is anyone having trouble with smoking? And if so will you call your surgery off if you can't quit in 6 weeks??

I don't have my surgery date yet...but quitting smoking is the hardest thing for me!!!! My surgeon tests for nicotine and would cancel surgery....I have to quit!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
