Hi! I also have surgery, RNY, on the 30th at 1130AM. I started diet yesterday as well and was amazed at how much harder it is than I imagined. We must be twins bc Im dealing with Aunt F and this diet at the same time. Im in Atlanta. We should keep in touch and compare notes since we have the same surgery date.

how much did you lose in 2 weeks... i start my liquids thursday

Oh my goodness I'm local as well I'm having mine at Gwinnett Medical Center on June 30th 2016. I've been trying to find somebody in the area that's having that done the same month so we can keep in touch would you be interested? I have to start my 2-week liquid diet on the 16th of June. i am June 30th as well. Let's stay in touch and compare notes. I am in ATL. I actually wont know if I am approved until this week, but am scheduled for 930am 6.30.16

I had to meet with a Nutritionist 3 times and they basically tell you what foods have high Protein and to practice eating like i will after surgery (bigger portions now of course) I lost 23 lbs now since April 1st. I do treat myself some times on weekends, but primarily have stuck with it and the treats are nothing like I used to have in the past. I am sticking to 20 to 30 g protein a meal, no caffeine, no soda, no fried food, less than 10 carbs a meal fruit excluded, and less than 5 sugars. No sugar drinks at all and 64 oz or more h2o a day. Had my first appointment January 27th. Found out my insurance did not cover it. Got different insurance waited until March 7th when it became active and then found out it requires 3 month supervised diet. Surgery is June 30th if approved this week!

I am a RN at a large Neuro Center. My job doesn't require heavy lifting. I am going to ask for 3 weeks FMLA and come back after 2 weeks if I am recovering well from RNY bypass. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
