Insurance Approval Jitters
Hi! Yes.....got a different patient advocate and was approved! Surgery date was 12/1 so I got it done last year and the cost was zero since I had met deductible and my max out of pocket! Since starting the 6 month approval process to today I'm down 60 lbs! Thank you for asking! ?

Very frustrated with my case worker
THAT stinks and is exactly what I was afraid of! Stay on them. My nutritionist told me that she transmits the results of the appt within seconds of completing our visit. If that is the last thing needed for approval, it should be very simple to get a file submitted. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Very frustrated with my case worker
I have requested a new advocate 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear back. Called twice and keep being told they are working on it but I am 45 days out from being able to submit. Very frustrated. I need a true ADVOCATE! Someone on my side. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

What NSV do you hope for post op?
I want to be able to run an entire 5k as opposed to walk walk walk run......walk walk walk run. I want to comfortably cross my legs.....BOTH legs..... and not have to hold them. I want to squat down and be able to stand back up without floundering to try to stand back up. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

I'm so unsure of what I want! Help!
If you look at the differences between the two procedures, yes the bypass is the gold standard but if it was the best, why did the sleeve evolve? There are good reasons for both options. Educate yourself then talk to your doctor to help with their opinion. Me, personally, I choose the sleeve over the bypass as, if there are any issues long term, i.e. the hiatal hernia correction isn't effective, I can have the bypass as a plan b. There is no plan b with the bypass. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
