I had my sleeve on August 4th. I've lost 25 pounds since then. Things are going well! Well, everything is finished except preop class and payment. Submitted all paperwork on Monday and was approved yesterday morning! I'm shooting for December 14th! SO excited! How about y'all???Congrats! I'm now trying to get my mom and aunt to do this. Thanks!!! They totally should!

Hiiii! I'm hoping for a December date too! I just had my transnasal EGD yesterday and have completed my nutrition appointment along with 5 of my 6 required MD weightloss visits. My last MD visit is on the 29th! I'm waiting until December because I'm in grad school and that's between semesters for me. I hope I don't have any issues with approval!

Hey guys and gals! I have my last appointment for insurance approval on the 29th of this month. So, I'm hoping for a December 9th, 12th, or 14th date which is between semesters for me. I'll be having my surgery in Birmingham, AL with Dr. Pennington at Grandview. I'd love to meet folks in or around Alabama or people that have a surgery date close to mine so we can motivate each other! Can't wait to chat!! [emoji3]

How do you like your doctor? I live in Birmingham and my doctor is great! He was highly recommended by some coworkers. Also, I had an initial meeting with Dr. Schmitt before choosing my MD. I just felt rushed with him. Dr. Pennington took his time, answered all of my questions, told me what to expect, and I really liked that. ????

I first saw Dr. P back in December and my insurance requires 6 months of doctor supervised diet. So July 18th will be my last of those. Hopefully I am looking at an early August surgery........ I've been for my cardiac tests, my EGD, nutrition and physical therapy meetings. Got all of that behind me. Feel like I'm turning the corner now!I guess I should read everything before replying!
