Who wants to do a 5 day liquid diet with me for "fun"?! It will keep you from eating candy on Halloween! I promise I won't cheat! I feel like I've been eating too much "junk" lately and the liquid diet helps me kick that sugar craving. Last time I did 5 days of shakes I didn't want any sugar for weeks. We can do update pictures and it will make food planning super easy!!! My family are complete party poopers and won't do it with me. I did it by myself before so I'm sure I can do it again I just thought it might be fun to do it together.....as fun as self torture can be anyway. I'm going to get my shakes tomorrow and get this party started.

@@Elode what a day! And you prevailed! Thanks for making me laugh.

I had WAY too much coffee supporting/hovering late into the night while my daughter finished her first round of college apps but prevailed as well!

And tomorrow will be hump day yes! I am reserving the right to one very low carb high protein meal while we are on the road visiting colleges but NO snacks or candy and liquids the rest of the day.

Will check in again tomorrow... Hang tough everyone

It's Day 3! Love this challenge. Last night I made banana bread for my husband and one for my work people. I don't know why, but when I go liquid I get in the baking mood. It happened last December when I had my surgery, too. This morning I'm making him a quiche. While grocery shopping for the bake-fest I'm having over here, I found 4 new seasonal teas that I'm very excited about: Eggnog'n, Caramel Apple Dream, Peppermint Bark, and Gingerbread. I've tried 2 out of the 4 so far and they are great. Happy liquids everyone!

@@jess9395 I love coffee! I've cut it down to one cup while doing this as of now but if I want more it a liquid so I don't feel bad! Good luck today for you and your daughter!! College is the best! Hopefully she will get in and get out unlike myself who has been going since 2002. I'm a career student. Addicted!

@@sweetie716 Oh man, I'm trying to avoid the kitchen at all cost! Lol! Where did you get those teas? I've never heard of such a thing?

The tea was at Harris Teeter (a nicer grocery store, in case you don't have them in your area of the country). Two of the teas are Celestial Seasonings and two are Bigelow brand.

What are you planning to have to eat in the way of solid food on the first day after the liquid fast? I am thinking about breakfast, and I'm almost scared to eat. I really HATE being back in that mindset of a "dieter". I guess a scrambled egg would be fine. I plan to avoid simple carbs altogether, I think that was my issue that caused me to have to be on this liquid protein fast. I have determined I was eating mindlessly again (pretzels). UGH! FEAR THE PRETZELS!!

@@wannaBthinsoon I'm planning on focusing back on protein which is why I'm doing this. I got away from the protein first rule. I think I will just follow what I was doing in the beginning. Eggs or shake for breakfast. Chicken and fish for lunch and dinners, tuna, ect. The basics. I need to stop adding so many sides to my plate because I tend to eat them first and protein gets left behind. I'd rather eat a salad and then I get full and leave out the meat so I need to reverse that.

Example of the horribleness I've encountered this morning. Kid laying practically on me crunching potato chips in my ear! He can keep his sponge bob and chips I'm outta here!!

i'm doing great with my liquid shakes

i drink GNC Total Lean Shake - 25 gr protein

any one reading this - i am drinking 4 shakes a day

should i only drink 3?

525 vs 700? i know the calories are less but.......

i know everyone does it different

would like to hear the general consensus

is 4 too much???

as i write this i'm thinking maybe i should drink only 3

please tell me what you do

thanx

exciting doing this with so many of you

kathy

I drink 4, I usually eat 4x a day so that's what I'm sticking to. I'm pretty sure it was 4 or 5 shakes throughout the day during my preop diet.
