The psychological visit I had told me that the hardest thing to deal with would be people telling me I was "taking the easy way out". He said that couldn't be further from the truth. I don't tell too many people for that very reason. Unless I deal with someone on a day to day basis, like my immediate family or an extremely close friend, I don't say anything to anyone. It's none of their business. I understand this person who said this to you may be a close friend. Sometimes people say things because they feel threatened in some way. She may be afraid that the dynamics of your friendship might change after your surgery.

If it's one thing I have discovered over the years is that your

True friends are going to stick with you NO MATTER WHAT. I am in the final stages before being approved (if God willing) and I make it a point to only talk to those about my decision that support me and I know who are my friends. I still talk to those who don't support me but not about my surgery. They may bring it up and I'll answer their question but if it goes negative I either change the subject or walk away. Good luck to you!

Was told today by a fairly new friend that I don't deserve the surgery cause I don't do anything to better myself. She wasn't around the weeks I suffered trying to loose weight my whole life

You don't need that at all. You need new friends.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
