Hi all,

Help me out with some good tasting broths! I want to start experimenting now since my 2 week pre-op diet is coming up in a few weeks. Which ones taste the best and feel the most satisfying? Is it better to buy carton/canned broths or does the bouillon/consomme taste better? Give me some suggestions! TIA!

I like the Swanson flavored broths - Tuscan chicken and (?) Southwest chicken. I also like the Thai chicken broth, but it is a little spicy.

The spiced broths have really helped me during the liquid phase.

I'm staring my pre-op diet in about 10 days. I'm planning out starting with Pho broth and probably Won Ton broth as well.

I just tried Unjury chicken Soup flavor. It's actually pretty good!! I can see adding it to broth to get your Protein in too.

DH has been using the Knorr bullion cubes. To help with added flavor he's mixed in a little onion, celery, and seasoning. You don't have to eat the veggies, but they do add a hint of flavor.

I make a HUGE batch in my crock pot and then let it cool and freeze. They warm up fairly quickly in a pot when ready too.

Walmart.com has a whole selection of the Swanson flavor infused broths.

I can only get a couple here locally. I might have to try a few more! chicken tortilla sounds yummy!

Some of those Swanson broths sounds good. I've not heard of them before. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
