  14. I'm with you. My surgery is at 10:30am MST tomorrow. I only had to do a 3 day pre-op clear liquid only diet. Somehow I dropped 10lbs as of this morning. Taking the kiddos to Grandma's after work. Then back home to pack and try and sleep. Good Luck!
  15. I have UHC as well. I had my 6 month doctor supervised weight loss, 5 year weight history, and psych eval. I was approved with no problems.
  16. Its been good. It was definitely worse the first day, but i haven't felt a extreme drop. I think the anticipation and excitement for surgery tomorrow is helping with that.
  17. I'm on day 3 of a 3 day pre-op clear liquid diet. I have barely been able to get over 200 calories in a day. I've been surviving on Isopure Carb zero, broth, SF jello, SF popsicles, crystal light, and Vitamin water Zero. Surprisingly I don't feel that bad.

  19. For my insurance it was just going to see my primary doctor every month for six months a follow some sort of plan to lose weight. For my insurance, United healthcare, there was not a required amount of weight to lose. I only lost a few pounds and was still approved.

  21. Only a three day clear liquid diet for me. Started it today, surgery is on Thursday.
  22. I have been shopping for a blender. The Vitamix and Blendtec blenders were way too pricey for me. I think I'm gonna go with the Ninja, Costco and Sam's Club have a pretty nice set for about $135-150

  25. Congrats. It's a great feeling when you finally get that approval
  26. I had mine today. Mine was easy just and EKG, 6 vials of blood and a bunch of questions. My surgery is next Thursday:).

  29. I've read that it happens with some people, drugs, alcohol, sex, cigarettes. I think it is called "addiction transfer", since you can't over eat any more you switch to something else.
  30. Wow, that's impressive. I have about a week till my surgery. I hope my recover goes as well as yours.
  31. I was lucky enough to have a 10 day business trip about a month prior to my upcoming surgery. It was nice to be able to eat out to places I wouldn't normally got to with the wife and kids, and have my employer foot the bill. I haven't really felt like I needed a food funeral after I got back home.
