Favorite broths

Hi all,

Help me out with some good tasting broths! I want to start experimenting now since my 2 week pre-op diet is coming up in a few weeks. Which ones taste the best and feel the most satisfying? Is it better to buy carton/canned broths or does the bouillon/consomme taste better? Give me some suggestions! TIA!

I make a HUGE batch in my crock pot and then let it cool and freeze. They warm up fairly quickly in a pot when ready too.

I like the Swanson flavored broths - Tuscan chicken and (?) Southwest Chicken. I also like the Thai chicken broth, but it is a little spicy. The spiced broths have really helped me during the liquid

  • Walmart.com has a whole selection of the Swanson flavor infused broths. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Swanson-Mexican-Tortilla-Flavor-Infused-Broth-32-oz/26875372 I can only get a couple here locally.

I'm staring my pre-op diet in about 10 days. I'm planning out starting with Pho broth and probably Won Ton broth as well.

I just tried Unjury chicken soup flavor. It's actually pretty good!! I can see adding it to broth to get your protein in too.

DH has been using the Knorr bullion cubes. To help with added flavor he's mixed in a little onion, celery, and seasoning. You don't have to eat the veggies, but they do add a hint of flavor.

Some of those Swanson broths sounds good. I've not heard of them before. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them.
