Lol, probably best not to copy yesterday's menu! Mainly champagne and wine, with a bit of Christmas dinner in the middle somewhere. But I did go for a run in the morning.

Today we had breakfast outside (its summer here) - fresh apricots, cherries and mango, some yogurt. lunch was salmon sashimi.

I think I'm going to make another barbecued peach and ham salad for dinner.< /p>

Jachut- what all do you put on the salad? Just peaches and ham and ?? I am still preband (2 more weeks!) but I love grilled fruits like pineapples...yummy!

Today is wednesday but on monday evening I had my 4th fill (of 1 ml) and now have 7ml in my band. I feel like a stuffed turkey all the time! It kept me awake the first night actually. Tuesday I had:

a sip of coffee at 10am

half a cup of thin Tomato Soup at 3pm (as couldn't get it down any earlier)

a 100ml pro biotic yog.

half an egg scrambled and half a cracker with 2 tsp baked Beans

I managed a pint of warm blackcurrant squash/juice before bed as Water is difficult for me to drink quickly.

Do you think my band is now too tight?

I've gotten into the somewhat bad habit of having a Skinny Caramel Latte from Starbucks every morning during the week (when I'm at work). It's either a Grande or a Venti. I've found that the espresso in these bad boys keeps me flying (hunger-free) for several hours. I typically don't get hungry for 4 or 5 hours, at which point it's time for lunch.

My question is, is this an acceptable substitute for breakfast? Or am I still technically skipping a meal, thus hindering weight loss? I'm only 2mos post-op and am pretty much stalled at 15lbs since surgery - which is frustrating in itself. I go for my 2nd fill on Friday.

I just want to know if having a low calorie Starbucks drink for "breakfast" is a bad thing. I know that breakfast is technically the most important meal of the day, and if I'm not eating real food, I feel like I might be starving my body and thus doing more harm than good.

Thanks in advance!

no idea.

forcing myself to "eat" breakfast each day was one of the harder problems i had in adjusting to band life. i had a venti/non fat/double shot/latte for yrs for breakfast and in that time i went from 130lbs to 200lbs. not having a meal till 1pm did nothing for my metabolism. i wake up hungry most mornings and want to eat - this is a FIRST for me. talk with your dr at the next fill and see what he/she says.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
