  2. I just had my 6th year anniversary and I struggled the first year trying to figure out the right fill, etc. The weight loss has been super slow but steady!!! I would say about 10-15 lbs per year on average, but I have NO REGRETS-- only that I wish I had done it sooner or in my 30's. It is a tool as other have stated. Hang in there and read this forum. It really helped me with ideas of food to eat, what to do and the trials and tribulations of having the lap band. You will settle into in time. Keep going back if the fill is not right. They will help you figure it out.
  3. I have lost 60lbs but its been a VERY slow process....but I still would like to lose another 20lbs! I would do it all over again but I wish I had done it in my early 30's instead of waiting so long!
  4. I took the advice of trying MiraLAX and it is great! I think I have lost a few pounds just from being regulated with it. ITs super gentle and took a few days. My OB/GYN says its safe enough to take daily. Life is good again! Smile.

  6. Okay, like a couple of others on here (Missy and Joe), I have gained back some weight. I was down 40lbs and now I am only down 25lbs. I know I need an adjustment but I don't want to do it until after the holiday so I am trying to at least get down to 170lbs before my next adjustment in Jan. I am going to start tracking my food and I just started back to exercise. I am going to try to start logging my food and calories and exercise daily. It helps me think about things before I eat. Breakfast Cappuccino Lunch Taco Bueno pinto beans with taco meat added Dinner Barber Foods - Chicken Cordon Bleu - Filled With Cheese and Ham, Frozen Entree Snacks 2 Gatorades Vending machine Handi Snack cheese & Crackers, Famous Amos Choc Chip Cookies (BAD!!) Excercised by jogging/walking for 2 miles Totals Calories = 1,453 Carbs = 164 Fat = 68 Protein = 52
  7. Yeah, don't worry.....I did not have ANY restriction until a few fills later. You are in the healing stage so its fine. You will not be able to eat that much once you have proper restriction.
  8. Don't worry...the hair falls out for a few months and then it stops as quickly as it started. Examples of Protein that I eat: Egg Beaters with cheese sprinkled on it Black Beans or Refried beans with cheese Wendy's Chili with Cheese Nachos I make at home with Frito Bean Dip, cooked hamburger meat with Taco Bell seasoning and cheese Mozerella Cheese Sticks Musle Milk in the morning
