I have been terrible with food these past few days! Stress definitely affects my food choices. I promise, I am getting back on track and will start posting again tomorrow!

OMG..does stress affect the band...I am not upchucking but find I must eat very little portions.. so I have been using liquids

I am definitely beyond stressed out... so any help on this issue would be helpful

TIA

Laura from NY

I WISH stress made me eat less, lol! I eat terribly when I'm stressed. I go for the junk food that goes straight down. I don't really get any tighter, I just eat junk! It's a bad habit I need to break!

I do hear many people say that their band is MUCH tighter when stressed, it just doesn't do mine that way.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd be happy to only be able to eat very small portions. I guess we always want what we don't have, lol! Good luck, hope it gets better for you.

Stess definitely affects my band. It is much tighter when I am stressed out then the only thing I can eat is junk food. I will PB almost every meal if I am stressed. I can't even eat when my children are around because that stresses me out too. So I pretty much have to eat all my meals away from home for it to go down good.

Also, I notice a lot of people drink the muscle milk Protein shakes...are you drinking the powdered form or the pre-mixed? I've tried the pre-mixed and it was terrible. But I figure if so many people are drinking it it must not be too bad.

I'm the total opposite. I don't even eat when I'm stressed. My appetite is shot, so I just try to keep up with my fluids and Protein Shakes.< /p>

My DS drinks Muscle Milk and that stuff stinks. Before I had the LB I had my DH who loves shakes try all the different shakes....He loved the project

The winner was HSN Andrew Lessman powdered shakes. At that time they had a sample pack. I added my own Water and sometimes ice and it is delicious. Once, I found myself addicted to it, I called the Andrew Lessman company direct in Las Vegas and put myself on auto plan which you can change the send out date. Not only is it delicious but it is extremely cheap when you purchase it direct.

My favorite is vanilla or chocolate. At the beginning I craved the pina colada

If I had purchased the pre made shakes I could never have survived this new eating lifestyle.

I use the powdered muscle milk, I like the rtd (ready to drink) but it's to experiensive. It's not bad there are some flavors that I won't order again-I'm not a fan of the strawberry-it's got seeds in it, my daughter likes it though, but I won't drink it. The lite is 150 calories, the regular is 300. I use the regular.

Georgia girl, have you had a fill? Maybe try eating some hard Proteins and see if that will keep you full longer. Add veggies and fruit. I don't do that, but I'm sure if I did I would'nt be as hungry most times. I'm tight right now and it takes me a long while to eat anything. My head says that I need more when my stomach IS telling me "no thanks" and then I PB cause I listen to the wrong one. This too shall pass. Let's just take one day at a time.. you are doing better and that's what count.

Yes, you are right. I do need to eat more hard Protein. I did so bad at lunch yesterday. I thought if I had a Protein Shake for dinner that it would make up for lunch, lol. It didn't work, cause I ended up eating a bunch of junk last night as my "snack".

I had a fill a few weeks ago and I had good restriction for about a week and a half. I keep losing Fluid, so they are checking my levels for a while. That's a whole other story though.

I will try to eat more solid proteins today.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
