How did everyone do today that had surgery??

My surgery went great! And I didn't even freak out too much beforehand.

realize the nerves are normal, and everyone has them. Drink as soon as possible and walk as soon as possible. But listen to your body as well..

Same here, they say it wont last long and that it is normal.

Good Luck!! You'll do great. I had it this past Thursday and have had no pain. I was nauseated, but only periodically for two days. I'm just sooooooooo hungry!! Lol

On full liquids this week, it is hard trying to get all your liquids and shakes in.

Stay ahead of the pain. It makes resting easier.

You are not alone. I don't have any great insight, but make sure you don't get xonstipated. I had to use a suppository the first week. And I NEVER do that. Hang in there.

This is my first post. Had my VSG on May 6th after a 2 week liquid diet. By the day of surgery I was already down 15lbs and have lost an additional 25 lbs post op. So far things have been going well. One night hospital stay, went home feeling great! knee pain already better by 95%! Started on some mushy foods a couple days ago, cottage cheese, poached eggs, went to a sushi restaurant with my wife had miso Soup and 1/2 of a rip avocado. As long as I go slow no problems. Just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone.

Turned the corner today. Was sleeved Tuesday. Really struggled with nausea and dry heaves, but have figured out the pain meds were making it much worse. Have been doing much better drinking today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
