ANOTHER YEAR!

Recommended Posts

Another year without making the same old NEW YEAR's RESOLUTIONS..... For the second year in a row, I have not made a resolution to start a diet on January 2 or to join a gym on January 2. It's so damn liberating to have that monkey off of my back..... and 150 pounds too. :)

I was thinking today the same thing, this will be my 2nd New Year since being banded. It is so wonderful not to be worried about another diet and what new diet program would try. I will be making food for our annual "pig roast" New Years party at a neighboring farm. I make a great coconut cake and usually a corn casserole . This year I will make the cake too but will probably take something healthier that I can eat. Not going to fret about it and just enjoy the day. We are supposed to have sunny and 70 deg Happy New Year and Healthier Year to everyone

AMEN to that....TV is full of commercials for this and that weight loss.....activity at my gym is increasing much to the personal trainers delight.

Ironic thing is, come March-April all those resolutions will be forgotten. All those "I'm going to do it this time" diets will not be talked about.

I too am so glad to be set free - liberated from all that nonsense.

Lap Band surgery may be the easy way out, but it's forever! Without having to constantly be setting goals, challenges or New Years resolutions.

Just live the new life!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
