December 29th sleever here! So far all has been good. Doing my best to work with my body on getting rid of gas. I'm burping a lot which is another good sign. Walking a lot in my apartment since it's too cold to walk outside. I have not been nauseous at all since leaving the hospital. Just having good mental positivity has helped me the last three days.

I'm having a horrible time with things. Trying to figure out this full feeling. But I can't take in anything but maybe two bites of sf Jello and a dip of water. I'm worried I'm gonna get dehydrated. Am I ever gonna be able to put more in?!

Day 5 and still fighting with the horrid gas and Nausea.. I can't drink the liquid pain medicine or the liquid Nausea medicine

I just can't get past the taste it makes me want to hurl. I sent a text yesterday to my Doctors nurse and my doctor called

me a short time later and called me in a prescription for a nausea medicine in a pill form...I am so grateful...I didn't want to bother him on New Years Day! I wish I would have asked him for a different pain medicine but I guess I'll just tough it out and use none. I plan on

trying to drink something I can add my prilosec too and maybe that will help also...This just has been a rough few days....

I'm right there with u. I can't take much in at all. It doesn't seem to matter how long I wait in between, it still makes me sick

Has anyone found anything to put their ground-up pills in to get them down? I've tried Applesauce, and also Cream of Wheat. The pills taste awful!

I used Unjury chicken Soup to mix pills in. I prepared it than removed about 1/2 and added pills, because

i knew there was no way I would be able to drink all of it and I didn't want to waste Medicines. Does anyone

know if we are getting enough liquid how long we can go with just a bit of Protein.< /p>

Is anyone planning on returning to work on Monday? My instructions say I could (I'm an Exec Asst so almost no physical activity) but I'm finding that I need 2 naps a day. I'm trying regular Tylenol today cut it in 1/2 to see if it's the extra good stuff in the liquid meds that not only makes me red and itch but makes me loopy and sleepy.

I haven't been able to do things like read or study yet. Still scatter brained.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
