Does everyone do this

Recommended Posts

No matter what I eat or how good I chew I am throwing up at least once a day. I'm almost three months out and have tried to slow it down. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I should be concerned with a stricture. I have no problem drinking but am so sick of getting sick. I'm scared I'm going to choke.

See your doctor immediately. According to my dr you shouldn't throw up daily

Yesterday was my 3rd month anniversary from RNY and I have never thrown up. I agree, you need to see your surgeon, soon.

Best of luck,

Carol

I'm 6 weeks out and haven't thrown up, but have had a lot of issues with nausea.

But at 3 months out, if you're eating what's on your ok'd plan, you shouldn't be throwing up.

I would call your doctor, it def sounds like a structure however my office said liquids would also become an issue. I would communicate with them what's happening sooner rather then later & just have them take a look.

I am 3 months & have only vomited a couple times & it was all because of dry/stringy foods getting stuck. And it def wasn't every time I ate solids.

I am 9 weeks out, and do occasionally throw up. (I threw up part of my dinner tonight, actually!). It's always when I eat too fast, don't chew dry meat well enough, or eat too much, so it's just a matter of training myself a bit better, I think. When I do get sick, I go back to soft foods for a day, so my pouch can calm down - that seems to help.

I didn't start puking until I started more solid foods. I'm less than two months post op. It seems when I eat too much or more so, too fast, I puke. And, if I'm at work and don't eat, I dry heave. I'm not liking it at all.

I get so sick of feeling yucky all the time. Lately it seems I have this emptiness in my stomach and sometimes eating or drinking doesn't help. My stomach always feels off and makes lots of noise. That's gonna be embarrassing at meetings and a training. It's all the time gurgling and feeling terrible. Nothing seems to relieve it. I spoke to the docs office about me throwing up and then having this terrible feeling in my stomach all the time. I was not very comforted to hear that this is normal and for some it goes away and for others it has just become apart of life. Uggghh maybe if I wasn't stalled for the last 3 weeks I'd see it as worth it but as of now...I'm seeming to be having a hard time not regretting this surgery. I don't think my body is happy. :(

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
