According to my doctor's office, I don't owe anything until AFTER surgery (thank goodness). Even though I am maxed out for the year with my insurance (out of pocket max) ,they still require 10% of the cost of the surgery as a co-pay.

It's only 10% of what my doctor ends up getting paid....so if they bill 30K but only get paid 15k, then I only owe 10% on the 15k

Have them bill the insurance no matter what and let the insurance send you an eob. That's way you'd now for certain

I have a $1500 deductible and max out if pocket of $2500. I met them both before the surgery. I am one of those BLESSED ONES who is paying NOTHING for my surgery. I had a couple other major medical issues this year.?

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
